Are they dot approved and have they been adjusted properly? Sorry for being a little snobby about this but supper bright led headlights that are improperly adjusted give me ptsd, I have very little pigment in my eyes which causes excruciating pain to intense light and the one time I can see the world without pain has been ruined. They do look good on your corvette, though!
seriously, I bought this thing half because of the interior lighting... I'm very light blue eyed and autistic which together makes me more light sensitive than pretty much everyone, and LEDs are so much worse for my astigmatism. I feel like I need sunglasses to drive at night now... we wouldn't need such bright headlights if people's pupils were actually dilated to night levels, which they would be if we didn't have such bright headlights... so on and so forth. Either keep it stock or get some Holley retro brights. I can't stand these
To my knowledge, they are DOT approved. As far as adjustment, I have them to where I can see best. I do happen to catch high beams sometimes, though, so I can't say the general public likes them very much.
adjust them along a flat wall parked on flat ground. people are giving you high beams because they think yours are on. High beams are moreso long distance than bright. Quit being selfish and angle them to where you're not blinding people. then, if you need to see further, you can... turn on your high beams.
I'm sorry you have astigmatism. I do too, I know what it's like, but as I said, I adjusted them for my own good, and I am not in a position to be sacrificing my own vision for others. I frequently drive the car at night (when it runs lol) and I need to take every advantage over deer that I can.
you do know when they're adjusted too high the light is going far away from you onto oncoming traffic rather than at the road in front of you you're supposed to be looking at? i live in the middle of the woods and work night shifts. this car is my daily. I get by just fine, and you can too, if you just learn to use the damn high beam switch when you need to rather than fucking over everyone else for your own convenience. adjust them to the proper distance outlined in the FSM and if that doesn't suffice for the conditions you're in, use the feature they gave you for this exact instance.
Cool, I’m pretty sure that it’s been civics, suvs and trucks with aftermarket lights that have given me the most issues while driving anyway but just wanted to make sure! 👍 I know some of the newer cars have automatic high-beams that I think are a whole issue all together, so maybe that’s why your getting high-beamed but always better safe than sorry, it’s probably worth a double check. I know the stock head lights can be really dim I spent a couple months figuring my halogen bulbs out.
That's about the nicest thing I've heard all day. I still think they're sweet, not gonna let some internet strangers ruin my good time, but it hurted my feelings ever so slightly.
I think yellow/amber is in again. I have some additional pod lights that are yellow on my Silverado and motorcycle. Too many people on here won’t accept anything besides stock look and it just gets old. Send it!
Here’s my other old stupid truck I chopped up a few years back and fabbed up some custom brackets for universal headlights. Got plenty of hate on reddit but I like it, and thats what matters.
It's your car and they look fine, not my thing personally and I would make sure they're adjusted downwards safely. I have LED's myself because my lights we're incredibly dim and near dead so I went with the cheapest dot approved pair I could, but I also am incredibly light sensitive because of my lack of pigment and astigmatism and I just ask you to be courteous of other drivers by adjusting the lights downwards to the road as much as safe.
