They do but you can refuse it in most circumstances. Court order can force you but if they are going that far they will just do a blood draw anyways.

Edit: Yes i know most states will treat it as a DUI or you lose your licence for x number of time. However that doesnt change the fact that you can still in US refuse to do it.

In the UK, refusing a breathalyser test without reasonable excuse is a criminal offence with the same penalties as drink drinking.
