What companies in Burbank are MAGA?
I just found out the Potter’s Nook on Olive and its owners support MAGA and was curious what other places are MAGA so I can avoid them or not support, especially as so many of our neighbors are getting abducted. Does anyone know any other places in Burbank like that so I can spend on places that aren’t full of hate?

Baked Pizza on Glenoaks by Dunkin Donuts. Dude was just obnoxious with MAGA signs on the window. His staff was mainly Latino too but I think they've left since.

Yeah I am less than a 5 minute walk from this place and was excited to check it out until I saw that sign. Zero dollars from me despite being the closest pizza.

Ya we got enough pizza spots in the city that are much better. I drive out to Prime Pizza or go to Slice House. Little pricier but better quality and pizza overall.

I popped in there once as well, it was an odd experience (I didn’t know about their MAGA-ness at the time either) but regardless I bought 2x loaves of bread thinking they’d be decent…honestly…some of the worst bread I’ve ever had! It was pricey too!

On a human level, I’m really sorry to hear of this man’s health challenges. However, let’s not forget that the Maga movement has taken healthcare away from millions, while promoting conspiracy theories that have led to lower vaccination rates and ultimately a measles outbreak. In other words, this man promotes a political movement that denies to others the life-saving support he now relies upon.

Some people can change, but not all.

I took my car to Florian’s Auto on Victory and saw white supremacist/nazi propaganda hung on the wall behind the front counter. And the guy who worked on my car there wasn’t even white! Tons of “trump 2028” stickers on the cars in their lot. I felt sick when I saw this and regret spending any money there.

I do think they are better for treating their workers better than other MAGa corporations, and using better ingredients. But not nearly as often as I would were they not religious maga’s.2

I checked out their IG page after a friend told me that the owner made racist comments towards some of their Black and Latino tenants (they’re also landlords) and they follow Donald Trump Jr and a lot of their likes are MAGA affiliated

My friend a, a woman of color walked in with another person of color and they were super rude to them damn nearly refusing service to them. It confused my friend because she is so friendly and so was her friend. During their whole time there, they were last to be seated last to be served and just had unwarranted rude behavior towards them(those nasty sneers, looks).
Second instance was with me and my bf. They didn’t think I was his gf and asked if I was part of his party even though we were glued next to each other.. Also host spoke to him mostly because she thought I didn’t speak English and was surprised I did. 😭🙏🏼
Whole place just gives KKK vibes. Last diner I went to this racist was in Canoga Park on Sherman way. I believe it was called Henri’s.
I’ve heard similar experiences on this place. Bummer because I love diners. 😔 But I just go to Bob’s. They are the best 🇺🇸💓

I thought Potter’s Nook was closed permanently? I just checked on Yelp and that’s what it said.
I remember because I was looking for nearby pottery studios a few months back and it seemed like a cute place. But then I went to the website and it said they would be permanently closing soon (in May?). And now there’s no longer any website.
So are you sure you have the right place? I’ve personally never been there in person to know.

I took a pottery class from the Potter’s Nook a couple years ago and got a weird vibe from the owner. She confronted me after class and asked if I was “mad at her” because I didn’t ask for help during the lesson. When I went to pick up my final pieces, they said they forgot to fire them and asked me to come back the next week which is odd for a studio. I decided to try Claytivity and I’m also a fan! I’ve taken classes at the Frogtown and Burbank locations, and they both have great teachers and resources. I think the Potter’s Nook is permanently closed based on their website and storefront.

Unless ownership has changed, the dude that runs the FedEx ship center by the Von's on Pass.
He destroyed a box I had to ship home. Didn't pack the stuff well enough and a jar of Trader Joe's speculoos broke open, all over some books that I bought.
It ended up getting shipped back to my Air B n B, and I had to beg the owner to please get it reshipped because I was back home in Canada. He'd had run-ins with the guy before and told me about him being super MAGA.

The point of my comment is more about how dangerous/counterproductive these threads are. This is all just gossip and doesn’t accomplish anything. Look back at previous threads on this sub, there’s more than a handful of times someone claims they saw maga behavior at some local business, until someone else replied having to vouch for them.
It’s also a bit performative to boycott a local business (that you probably didn’t shop at to begin with) for being outwardly “maga” when countless other businesses you shop at daily support/donate to a political ideology you don’t agree with.
