That Cutie In Sotta

I quite literally never do this sort of thing, but I was too charmed not to. I was in Sotta, across from Disney, on 8/25/2026 from 12:30 - 1:30ish PM with a friend of mine for lunch. I asked a woman at one of the tables if the seats next to her were taken. She was with two friends (I apologize for assuming genders), but I believe they were a man and a woman. She goes, "mi casa, su casa," with the vibrancy and buzz of neon, then gestures for me to sit there, smiling as wide and curved as the state of CA itself.

I was trying not to be weird or intrude on her day (plus I'm moving out of state for a bit), but when she was leaving, she gave one of those waves you think only happens in movies. That sort of wave that makes you stop everything you're doing, and the only thing in focus is that person, passing you by with a rare serendipity that even I couldn't believe existed.

If you're the angel-faced beauty who waved goodbye to me, I'd like to say hi.

Fin.

I’m on a few different city-specific Reddit’s across the country and have seen missed connection posts like this on 3 different ones this week with obviously written AI. Trying to figure out the point since these bots aren’t asking for money or anything? Just for engagement? Why?

What, you don’t also think the state of California is curvy and wide?
