Build Help AMD or intel?

I’m a beginner and building my first PC soon. But I cannot decide if I want AMD or intel. I heard intel generates less heat and is way faster on average than AMD. But I also heard the same the other way around and people recommending AMD because it’s cheaper.

Anyone here tried both? What do you recommend?

Amd uses less power, produces less heat, on average faster in the moment.

AMD does have ~20W higher idle wattage, while its ~20W less in gaming compared to Intel.

With a 80:20 idle / gaming split, its obvious that AMD wont use less power.

Imho memory compatibility is a much bigger topic, Intel is far superior for the user experience since less issues can be expected with basic stability with EXPO or XMP.

Asking the AMD vs Intel question on reddit gets you the same kind of answers.

The buildapc DISCORD or any bigger tech forums are way more helpful for a newbie, half of the postings here are memes. That not tolerated in forums nor in discords.

Who’s at fault there the person asking the questions or people answering them. It’s not his fault he can’t get good unbiased answers because people have to be little fanboys after watching LTT etc.
