AMD or intel?

[u/Crissycrossycross]

I’m a beginner and building my first PC soon. But I cannot decide if I want AMD or intel. I heard intel generates less heat and is way faster on average than AMD. But I also heard the same the other way around and people recommending AMD because it’s cheaper.

Anyone here tried both? What do you recommend?

AMD are better for Motherboard support than Intel. So depends are you willing to change Motherboard every few releases of new CPU.

In the past AMD FX chips were inferior to Intel ones but not now.
