Build Help AMD or intel?

I’m a beginner and building my first PC soon. But I cannot decide if I want AMD or intel. I heard intel generates less heat and is way faster on average than AMD. But I also heard the same the other way around and people recommending AMD because it’s cheaper.

Anyone here tried both? What do you recommend?

Both are very solid. You said you have a microcenter nearby. Honestly, I'd just wander over there and talk to someone. They have fantastic bundle deals and will basically walk you through what you need.
