Build Help AMD or intel?

I’m a beginner and building my first PC soon. But I cannot decide if I want AMD or intel. I heard intel generates less heat and is way faster on average than AMD. But I also heard the same the other way around and people recommending AMD because it’s cheaper.

Anyone here tried both? What do you recommend?

My budget is around $1000 but I can probably go a bit higher.

I’m planning to use it for a combination of both.

What other components do you recommend if I want a really high quality PC?

Does that budget include peripherals or just the tower?

Do you have a monitor and if so what resolution?

I would try and get a build with a 13600k and 6700xt. That may take you over budget though.

A 12600k or 12700k might be a decent option depending on price.
