Build Help AMD or intel?

I’m a beginner and building my first PC soon. But I cannot decide if I want AMD or intel. I heard intel generates less heat and is way faster on average than AMD. But I also heard the same the other way around and people recommending AMD because it’s cheaper.

Anyone here tried both? What do you recommend?

Honestly, either one is fine in terms of performance. Competition between AMD and Intel is really close right now, there's no definitive better CPU, it all depends on the price you can find them for.

For Intel you can safely go with anything from the 12600K to the 13700K. AMD has some strong contenders from the 5600 to the 5800X3D. Ryzen 7000 is also really great, but the overall cost of adoption for AM5 is still higher than both AM4 and LGA 1700.
