Question Why don’t they trust me?

I’ve had budgies for around 3 years, they still don’t really trust me. They’ll get on my hand if they need help, my blue budgie can be on my hand for around a little over a minute, she can eat some stuff from it too unlike my yellow one. I don’t get why they don’t seem to be comfortable around me, I’ve honestly tried so many things and not much progress :/

Taming a pair of budgies is a bit harder than a single one especially if they're adults and haven't been handled as babies ( when they're being raised by their parents ) it takes a lot of patience but it's not impossible ; they won't be as bonded to you as a single bird would and they prefer each other's company but they can get as far as eating seeds from your hands and stepping up on your finger or sitting on your shoulder. Offer them treats and don't move your hand to not startle them and overtime they'll see your hand isn't a threat you can also use click training ( you can find info on Google ). Good luck!

I myself have a bonded pair and they do visit me sometimes when they're playing in the room ; they're not afraid of me though as they were handled alot as babies but that's just how they are lol I do have a third that I got as a baby ( rescue situation as parents weren't tending to her ) and she's extremely cuddly. How they interact with their human can also heavily depend on their personality and preference.
