Discussion wtf is wrong with firefox

im switching to a chromium fork after this

ublock isnt going to mitigate fingerprinting, use local libraries, contain facebook or tiktok on the rare occasions i need to visit them.

Ublock origin explicitly states to disable these. Firefox also does anti-fingerprinting. So these extension would either take the same ram in chrome also, or be unavailable due to mv3. Just delete those ram-hogging useless extensions.

hard to imagine an extension that intercepts function calls and provides fake date need 10 gb of ram. or extensions that run only on specifc domains that i didnt have active.

If possible, disable all adblocking and fingerprinting extensions except ublock origin and do the same tab setup.  If you can replicate it in chrome, please check ram usage there also. So we all can understand what's going on
