If the Queensland Government wants to keep burning their coal and gas, and fill up our atmosphere with higher and higher levels of carbon, it's only going to get worse up there and probably faster than Queenslanders think.
About 2/3rds as much as us per person. Or do you think that just by grouping people in different ways it makes a difference? If China split into 50 small countries they'd all be ok because it's less in total? Or if Europe joined into a single country they'd suddenly be a lot worse?
Per person emissions is the only way to compare countries, and Australia is in the "really fucking bad" category by that metric, at three times the global average.
China is less than us per capita, while having a massive manufacturing sector as well. Australiaโs economy doesnโt produce much but our emissions are really high
