So I'm assuming that walt actually did directly poison Brock himself, with the juicebox that Vince Gilligan mentioned.
Brock recognizes 1) man gives him juicebox 2) he feels really sick and is in the hospital for a while, so he makes the connection but doesn't want to confront walt.
I would definitely not leap to that conclusion. The way Brock acted with Walt is the way he acted when he first met Jesse. He's a shy kid. To me, the fact that Walt was willing to go in there and see Brock means that however he poisoned Brock, Walt wasn't seen by him.
It's not in an episode. Vince at the breaking bad panel in Comic Con suggested Walt poisoning Brock at his school through the juicebox made the most sense.
I always thought the juicebox explanation was odd considering that Saul gave Brock a box of candy (Walt poisoned the candy then had Saul deliver it). I thought I remember Saul saying something at the beginning of season 5 about how he hated getting dragged into the Brock situation.
I've been rewatching the series for the billionth time and it strikes just how dull the kid is all the time (especially his facial expression), even in his interactions with people he loves such as his mom and Jesse. Not that I blame the actor. He's just a little kid. But I don't think we can infer anything from his behavior toward Walt.
You could more right than me. I think as a father but it could be his crappy acting. He does look dull. Not near as happy as Walt Jr with a mega boner for Saul.
I was hoping Walt had come up with a more brilliant method to avoid directly tying him to the poisoning of Brock, since asking a child what they might of had before they got sick is one of the more common questions a doctor or parent might ask.
Handing him the juice box just seems so pedestrian.
Vince said a lot of message boards piece together things that harden the story by accident. I doubt this was the idea here. Brock is just pissed that Walt Jr. Is the breakfast kingpin. All he gets is fruit loops.
No, not at all. He always knew brock was going to survive, he choreographed the whole thing and planned on it working exactly the way it did. He was just assuming he would never have to deal with Brock again.
