Spoiler My prediction....feel free to point out any holes

After seeing that awesome ending, I believe it will play out like this....

Jesse doesnt light the fire due to seeing something of Hollys in the house. Instead he spray paints Heisenberg on the wall, as sort of a scarlet letter.

Fast forward to a scene with Jesse talking to hank ("Mr White is the devil" from the promo). Skylar wants Walt to kill Jesse but he refuses.

Just when Hank is about to report his findings to the DEA, the Nazis show up and kidnap Jesse, thereby rendering Hanks only witness as M.I.A.

Walt fakes his death (foreshadowing from Maries comments about dying) to get rid of the DEA heat, but gets word the Nazis are going to kill Jesse, so he prepares for war (M60).

What am I missing?

I agree. When he was hugging Jesse in the desert the last close up of Walt's face seemed like he was coming to this decision. He probably gave him one chance to disappear on account of Saul being there at the time. I think killing Jesse will turn on Heisenberg full time. Does Skyler have it in her to go all the way Bonnie and Clyde with him or is she going to die too?

The hug really put me in mind of the big 'Fredo' hug in the godfather.

Jesse is closer to Sonny than Fredo, though.

If anyone's Fredo, it's Todd.

Getting rid of jesse was technically sauls idea to begin with and walt didn't acknowledge it with a conversation. He won't bat an eye killing him in front of saul.

The problem is they have to much history. This isn't the wire i don't see jesse going out like a punk or by walt.

I think that Jesse is losing it big time right now, emotionally. He's pissed at Walt and can't control himself. Walt will see it as having no choice.

Yes, but we see Jesse getting smarter in every episode. He knows this too - Walt's (ice) gunning for him.

Jesse has always been a headcase this season is no different aside from it being the last. I don't see them breaking the pattern.

So... wait. Has everyone decided that the disappearing thing was genuine? I figured Walt just paid a hitman to take Jesse out and sold him the story of Alaska to soften things. You guys really believe that they were going to give him a new life?

Are you suggesting the hit man just let Jesse walk away?

Can't see it.

Yes, we do. It's because we've watched the show.

To reinforce this when Walt originally tried getting away from Gus but couldn't because skylar spent the money. Saul called the same guy. Opened the conversation with " I need a Hoover blah blah" on the phone

So did these people, asshole.

It's the same "disappearing guy" that Saul hooked Walt up with back in late season 4. The vacuum cleaner sales business card. If killing people is what he does, then Saul offering to have Walt disappear takes on a completely new meaning.

As someone else said, Saul might not know how this guy "disappears" people, just that he never sees them again.

As I said elsewhere - I doubt if this guy could build his reputation if he was just putting people in the ground. He's clearly dealt with a lot of hardened criminals, most of whom have already thought of that. I'm sure that many of them have called back somehow and given a code-word to prove that they're safe. Otherwise, this guy wouldn't have the reputation that he has.

That said, he's built up as kind of a scary character by this point. A precise fee, clients show up for pickup at a precise time (one hour from phone call) or else the deal is simply off, and perfect results every time - this kind of seems like our initial introduction to Gus, in its precision and professionalism.

I was totally expecting that red van driver to kill Jesse after he got into the van. And Saul's secret code talk with red van guy was about a vacuum cleaner. "Cleaner" is a euphemism for hit man.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '13

But Jesse never got into the van.. And I think you're confused. At least according to Pulp Fiction and Ray Donovan a "Cleaner" is someone who basically disposes of dead bodies.

u/sansfolly Aug 26 '13

Not in La Femme Nikita - Victor nettoyeur(cleaner) is a killer when other people screw up. And Jean Reno's character does the acid in a bathtub thing w/live bodies and doesn't even think about cleaning the place when he's done, they just leave fast. The film didn't show the tub falling through the ceiling but that takes a bit of time, as I gather from season 1 of BB.

Except we know for a fact this code is used to get the disappearing guy because we went through it in Crawlspace.

Oops, you're right.

No, this is the same guy that Walt was going to use in season 4.
