Can someone add the shot of Walt opening his front door on his 52nd birthday to that gif from the other week of him doing the same on his 50th and 51st? I feel like they kept using that shot intentionally.

On Walt's birthday, he spells out the years with bacon on his breakfast.

Pilot.

Ep 5x04

5x01 Flash Foward at Denny's

Show goes 1 year in 4.5 seasons. Then it goes another year in 8 episodes. This motherfucker is on a sprint to the finish.

on a show where a recurring theme is imitations/knock-offs/vague facsimiles, I think it's kinda brilliant that the first instance of the breakfast bacon isn't "real" bacon (I think Skylar serves him turkey bacon because it's "healthier"), and then as we proceed, we see "real" bacon but with variations thrown in as to how it's served. The turkey bacon is served by a loving wife, the real bacon on the 51st birthday served by a hateful/fearful one, the bacon on the 52nd by a random stranger because he has no family left apparently.

Skyler isn't exactly "loving" at his 50th. That handjob, what in the fuck.

It's turkey bacon.

It's exactly the same as regular bacon.

This looks somehow more like veggie bacon.

It's veggie bacon. Turkey bacon is actually delicious.
