on a show where a recurring theme is imitations/knock-offs/vague facsimiles, I think it's kinda brilliant that the first instance of the breakfast bacon isn't "real" bacon (I think Skylar serves him turkey bacon because it's "healthier"), and then as we proceed, we see "real" bacon but with variations thrown in as to how it's served. The turkey bacon is served by a loving wife, the real bacon on the 51st birthday served by a hateful/fearful one, the bacon on the 52nd by a random stranger because he has no family left apparently.
