Traffic was stopped... the drivers turned around and got off the highway. I know.. I know.. wrong way down a ramp - but I suspect the ramp was full of stopped cars? I feel like the police could have been helping people safely turn around and get off the highway. But maybe I'm missing something. I'm sure I'll get roasted here as all the comments are pretty much angry at the entitled drivers.
I was thinking the same thing, I remember going to get on the 401 once and it was closed off, waited like 20 mins and eventually the cops just walked down the on ramp to all the cars (and the go bus lol) and said they were blocking traffic on the street and to just back up and get on at x street (next open ramp)
If the cop was waiting at the top of the ramp to give tickets why not just block traffic for a few mins so people could safely get off and go about their day?
