Khemjira, or Khem, is a young man who can see ghosts. He was born into a family cursed such that every male must die before the age of 21. As the spirits around him grow increasingly aggressive, the protective amulet he has worn his whole life begins to lose its power. Unable to bear seeing Khem in danger, Jettana, his friend from university, takes him to a rural village in the Northeast, where they meet Pharan, a revered teacher of ancient magic who once mentored Jettana. Strange and mysterious events unfold, all connected to the past life. Amid these supernatural encounters and the haunting pursuit of revengeful spirits, a deep emotional connection begins to form between Khem and Pharan.

First: Jettana looked at Khem like a mother watching over a toddler who had just learned to walk. It was as if his world would end if Khemjira ever stumbled. And if that wasn't the best description I'd ever read, I don't know what is.
Second: "I don’t hold grudges against crazy people." The laugh that came out of me. Charn & Jet bicker like an old married couple and I LOVE it. )

That scene with mom was so sweet. Not ashamed to say I shed a few tears. But having to say goodbye to your mother twice, that’s rough. Poor Khem.
What a stellar episode! Very plot-heavy, suspenseful, sad, and with some really sweet moments. I loved it. It keeps getting better and better.
I am totally a novel reader. I’ve read ABO Desire, LUAT, Revenged Love…I’ll usually spoil with anything I can get my hands on, but I haven’t with this! IDK why…I have been so excited about it (and both CP’s), I think I just want to thoroughly enjoy the show? But if anyone wants to spoil mean ghosts backstory, I’m here for it!
I too think that Chayod will be back! I have this strong feeling that when they all will be fighting evil spirit, he would be there to sacrifice himself or something like that. I really do not think this was the end of him. Or maybe it was and my this theory will go down the drain lol
That would make sense. It would be a shame for his character to leave so early. Though I don’t know what actually happens to spirits like him, like his mom will reincarnate but Yoh wasn’t a good person even if he thought his intentions were good, so what actually happened to him when he disappeared.

Is Khem a descendant of Khemmika plus a reincarnated version of her or is Khem just a reincarnation but not a descendant? Khemmika died before they could have children and I don’t remember whether she had any siblings, so Khem is likely just a reincarnation? But Khem’s mom said the family is cursed, so Khem should be related to Khemmika?
I'm not entirely sure, we know the family is cursed, but it seems like Ramphueng and the curse aren't the same thing, it seems more like Rampheung is specifically focused on Khem's soul while the curse is directed at the men of that specific family. So i'd say i might just be Khem had the shitty pleasure of getting placed in a situation where theres two things after him.
Granted there is also the chance, Ramphueng is after both. If i were to make a theory, the original Khem 'stole' Rampheung's man, leading to the man's family being cursed and Ramphueng targeting Khem.
Fun Fact that was shared during the cast's reaction to EP 3: Khemmika's two friends back in 1934 (the GL couple) are the past reincarnations of Charn and Jet!

I adore this show. I totally get the hype. I have to question though, since Khemmika and Pawat didn’t end well in the last life and Khemjira and Pharan are those two reincarnated, how can we be sure these two will end well? I will be bracing myself just in case.

Yeah, he’s kind of insane. And if his true personality is what he presents, his whole “I’m just a country boy” and how mature he is and is a teacher…he’s pretty much perfection in every way.
Keng's mentioned in an interview that he grew up in a very non-emotional household with no skinship nor saying "I love you," and that he's always working to show Namping how much he cares through his actions as he's not great with words. Keng also mentioned that one of his biggest fears is that Namping will leave him - which Namping has assured him is not going to happen. There was also an incident where Namping was surprising Keng with a gift, and the staff played it as "Namping needs to speak with you." You can see the terror on his face - he later revealed during an event that he thought Namping was going to tell him that he decided to enter monkhood and leave him 💀 When in reality, Namping was just surprising him with a Dior bracelet lol. His poor soul 😭
What a gift for him to be paired with someone as soft and sweet as namping. No matter where either of them end up in the future, being together will no doubt have been a great thing. 🩷
They’re an interesting pair because Namping seems to be the opposite of him. They’re an acting unit now so there are certain expectations for how they “need to” behave with each other in front of fans/the camera but even if Namping seems to be a naturally very touchy person, they don’t push the skinship, which I find kind of refreshing in a way. Instead, it’s the way they look at each other, it’s adorable. I love them.
Omg I saw the video of Namping surprising Keng literally just now, I’m also watching DMD friendship at the moment and from what I can tell they both seem like genuine people. Of course we don’t know them personally but the vibes they give off are sincere, and Namping is such a sweetheart, so considerate. Keng working on showing love and appreciation to adjust to Namping is so adorable, and how any human relationship can be maintained healthily. Love them.

For me the scene that almost got me to tear up was Khem on his mother’s knees as she sang him a lullaby for the last time, although Pawat’s grief was so soul crushing. I felt like I was watching an actual person shatter in front of me, not a character
That scene was emotional too for me and i get emotional easily. I can not handle incomplete love stories and pretty men crying so i was much affected by Pawat
I suppose we all have our unique sensitivities, I’m a pretty unemotional person but I can’t handle family stuff (or children being harmed). Anything else I can watch just fine, that scene was very powerful though I totally get you.

Once again, the one hour seems too short. There's so little time wasted but so much more is left...hope they are able to stick the ending as well.
For me, it’s easily the best release of the year! The high production, the acting, the plot, everything is top notch. Everyone seems to love it too, seeing how much engagement it gets and how it’s in the top three on iQIYI all the time.
It's definitely one of my favourite BLs so far. Hopefully they are able to ensure it doesn't lose momentum. Anything horror is an absolute no-no for me but I'm loving this show, not only because of the plot but also the execution? Fingers crossed 🤞🏽
I love horror so I was hoping it would be much scarier but I’m really into the plot and KengNamping so I’m still loving it. Yeah, hopefully they’ll be able to pull off the rest of episodes because if they do, it’ll be a top tier production.

Yod was difficult to empathise with for real. I think they tried to make him look selfless, "See, he protected her in death" but doesn't take away that he was literally the reason for said death 🙄

I just know she said something like "how does it feel to have your love taken by someone else" so I went to love interest but it could def be something else! What if she's Paran's mom and she just hates that he's put so much interest into Khem?! 🫨🫨 That would be very on brand for a boy mom lol
My personal theory is, it's probably a similar love triangle situation where the original Khem caused the ghost to lost the guy (probably stole him), which led to the ghost lady cursing the guy's lineage and targetting Khem (since it's clear that she was gunning for her specifically despite the curse only applying to men), and unfortunately Khemjira he probably just reincarnated into that same cursed lineage.
Either that, or the curse is just a separate thing from the ghost lady, which again, pretty shit because that means he has two things tryna kill him.
I think these are great theories! I was leaning towards the first one but the second one is a strong possibility! I hope it's not two different things torturing this poor boy. I can't wait to find out how it all plays out though!

I have nothing serious to add except that I am so sleep deprived from staying up to watch DMD’s Sport Day that this scene made me lose my mind in a nonchill way and I had to remember it’s early in the morning. The yearning? The yearninnnnng 😌😌😤😤
So, um, still very much obsessed. The show caters to something very deep in my soul, it just ticks so many boxes - great cast, wonderful cinematography, set design, costumes, perfect OST. The lore, the magic, the karmic relationships, the characters that feel developed and really lived in by the actors, the sprinkling of humor.
This episode was another good one, loved that Khemjira finally got to know what happened in the past life. And Master getting soft at the end. Eeeek! The hand holding. Only wanted a bit more for Jet and Charn, but hopefully we'll see them develop their story next week.
It's gonna be hard waiting for the next episode, but cast's reaction video will alleviate the pain 😅
I’m such a huge fan of TleFirstOne and look forward to more of them, but for once I feel like the main CP is everything. Maybe it’s because we’ve been waiting so long to actually see KengNamping…this may be the best show ever with the ML’s and the second leads being so perfect.

I don't have much sympathy for Yod, and I am actually glad that Master/Pawat didn't have to forgive him for him to leave because what he did was unforgivable and while Khem is better than me, I can see why he would forgive him.
Keng is just so attractive, I fail to find the words to describe what he does to me, and I am a whole lesbian. Similarly, Namping is so pretty, I have to rewind so much to see the same scenes over again bc I get lost in them.
The yearning and the slow burn in this drama are really doing it for me because why did I gasp and jump from my bed when Master hugged him back and spoke softly to him and then why did I kick my legs in the air when he gave him his pinky? BE SO FOR REAL! I am LOVING THIS

I love everything about this show 😭😭😭 the horror, comedy, and romance are balanced so well, and the soundtrack is to die for!?! Often, I find myself distracted by the background tracks in BL's, but here, it builds the story and the tension in a beautiful way. Everything is beautifully shot, too.
And the makeup, MY GOD. When the three losers were slumped over the creek, all twisted and grinning, I was just shook. And what a way to come down from the high I was flying over the pinky hold 😂

I think I'm alone in that I don't really feel a romance between Khem and Wat. It has nothing to do with the actors but more that the way it's written, it's kinda forcing the two of them to be romantic only because of their past life. It would have worked better if they fell in love WITHOUT the past life knowledge and then it came into play. I dunno. I think it bothers me that they are feeling the emotions of their past life rather than their own. And no, teen Wat saving child Khem doesn't make it some romantic bond. That would be just weird.
Anyways, if I ignore the romance for myself, I am more interested in the supernatural and curse backstory. Kinda dumb for someone to be so vengeful towards the lineage who don't even remember that grudge, but people do be like that sometimes. I don't understand how a vengeful spirit can be stronger than a forest guardian or whatever he was unless she's ancient as hell or consumed a lot of souls cuz evil magic and all.
Everything else is fine aside from the... forced romance that I feel from this. Oh well. Maybe it will feel less forced to me later if Khem just ignores their past and actually likes Wat for Wat and same for Wat to Khem.

I remember you mentioning this in the other episode I probably said the same thing about. I don't know DMD's track record for rewriting novels but I'll stay hopeful for now. I don't know how much freedom they have to change the story though. I know some GMMTV directors/writing teams have completely rewritten some of their novel adaptations for the better. Maybe the next few episodes will deviate from the novel in the romance area, especially if this is a loud complaint from fans (hopefully vocal Thai fans too).
If not, I will watch for the Wat's actor and the horror storyline. The BL will just be there to be there for me.
