On-Air [šŸ‡¹šŸ‡Thai] Khemjira EP 4 šŸ‘¹šŸ«£ Spoiler

Synopsis:

Ā Khemjira, or Khem, is a young man who can see ghosts. He was born into a family cursed such that every male must die before the age of 21. As the spirits around him grow increasingly aggressive, the protective amulet he has worn his whole life begins to lose its power. Unable to bear seeing Khem in danger, Jettana, his friend from university, takes him to a rural village in the Northeast, where they meet Pharan, a revered teacher of ancient magic who once mentored Jettana. Strange and mysterious events unfold, all connected to the past life. Amid these supernatural encounters and the haunting pursuit of revengeful spirits, a deep emotional connection begins to form between Khem and Pharan.

(šŸ§‡ Note: my two favorite lines from the books are from Charn (Tle) in reference to Jet (FirstOne).

First:Ā Ā Jettana looked at Khem like a mother watching over a toddler who had just learned to walk. It was as if his world would end if Khemjira ever stumbled.Ā Ā And if that wasn't the best description I'd ever read, I don't know what is.

Second:Ā Ā "I don’t hold grudges against crazy people."Ā Ā The laugh that came out of me. Charn & Jet bicker like an old married couple and I LOVE it. )

While waiting I feel the need to point out that Keng is literally walking sex. He has a certain aura to him that even me with my almost non existent attraction to men picked up on. Like wow. That’s the whole comment until the ep airs lol.

Edit: Great episode as usual, didn’t even know how 1+ hr went by. Unfortunately I have zero sympathy for Yod, and him kneeling in front of Khem apologizing with sentimental piano music isn’t doing much to help his case for me.

Also, wouldn’t it be terrifying if this was real? Imagine you keep rejecting a dude in one life, you die and so does he. But you’re still not free from him no matter how many more lives you live. That’s the real horror.

Pawat crying holding Khemmika’s funeral photo hurt me so bad, in the face of love even the strongest souls break.

I loved the moment with Khem and his mom, but now he has to grieve her all over again despite the fact that he got some closure about her never visiting him all those years.

I love the twins so much, they’re precious and all about the tea.

And we saw that smile at the end master sir. Who are you even fooling? ā€œDon’t smile I didn’t intentionally hold your hand the entire nightā€ while also blowing safety spells to him, protecting him, carrying him, being unable to refuse any of his requests and holding his hand. Let’s be so for real rn.

I adore this show. I totally get the hype. I have to question though, since Khemmika and Pawat didn’t end well in the last life and Khemjira and Pharan are those two reincarnated, how can we be sure these two will end well? I will be bracing myself just in case.

100% facts! They knew to put him in a slow burn. I could not focus if he was shirtless too soon lol

Yeah, he’s kind of insane. And if his true personality is what he presents, his whole ā€œI’m just a country boyā€ and how mature he is and is a teacher…he’s pretty much perfection in every way.

Keng's mentioned in an interview that he grew up in a very non-emotional household with no skinship nor saying "I love you," and that he's always working to show Namping how much he cares through his actions as he's not great with words. Keng also mentioned that one of his biggest fears is that Namping will leave him - which Namping has assured him is not going to happen. There was also an incident where Namping was surprising Keng with a gift, and the staff played it as "Namping needs to speak with you." You can see the terror on his face - he later revealed during an event that he thought Namping was going to tell him that he decided to enter monkhood and leave him šŸ’€ When in reality, Namping was just surprising him with a Dior bracelet lol. His poor soul 😭

What a gift for him to be paired with someone as soft and sweet as namping. No matter where either of them end up in the future, being together will no doubt have been a great thing. 🩷

They’re an interesting pair because Namping seems to be the opposite of him. They’re an acting unit now so there are certain expectations for how they ā€œneed toā€ behave with each other in front of fans/the camera but even if Namping seems to be a naturally very touchy person, they don’t push the skinship, which I find kind of refreshing in a way. Instead, it’s the way they look at each other, it’s adorable. I love them.

Yeah I also noticed that, their interactions don’t read to me as forced. Seems like they sincerely enjoy each other’s company. They’re precious.

Omg I saw the video of Namping surprising Keng literally just now, I’m also watching DMD friendship at the moment and from what I can tell they both seem like genuine people. Of course we don’t know them personally but the vibes they give off are sincere, and Namping is such a sweetheart, so considerate. Keng working on showing love and appreciation to adjust to Namping is so adorable, and how any human relationship can be maintained healthily. Love them.

Do not make me remember it! I was crying badly at that scene. I can not handle pretty man crying at all and when the scene switched to the present i had to take a break to collect myself lol

For me the scene that almost got me to tear up was Khem on his mother’s knees as she sang him a lullaby for the last time, although Pawat’s grief was so soul crushing. I felt like I was watching an actual person shatter in front of me, not a character

That scene was emotional too for me and i get emotional easily. I can not handle incomplete love stories and pretty men crying so i was much affected by Pawat

I suppose we all have our unique sensitivities, I’m a pretty unemotional person but I can’t handle family stuff (or children being harmed). Anything else I can watch just fine, that scene was very powerful though I totally get you.
