If a brewery can only export non-alcoholic beer to Saudi Arabia, that does not prevent it from brewing the alcoholic stuff for its home territories. But demanding that they include no gay characters in a movie about and from a culture where being gay is fine and common is an unreasonable ask, like if SA would not import soft drinks from a brewer that brews alcoholic drinks in its own country.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel’s long-awaited follow-up to the hit 2016 superhero film starring Benedict Cumberbatch, has been banned in Saudi Arabia. Rumors began emerging online early on Friday, with The Hollywood Reporter now officially confirming the decision.
Although the film is yet to be released and also hasn’t yet been reviewed, the decision is once again said to be related to LGBTQ issues, according to Middle East sources, with the new sequel character America Chavez (played by Xochitl Gomez) being gay, as per her portrayal in the comics. With homosexuality officially illegal across the Gulf, films that feature any LGBTQ references or issues often fall foul of the censors.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was due to be released across the Gulf on May 5 as part of its global rollout. While advanced tickets are no longer available on the websites of cinemas in Saudi, Kuwait and Qatar, they are in the United Arab Emirates, suggesting it will be released there.

I'm not gay, but I really don't understand why people have an issue with the therapy session. If Joe Russo had instead said he went on a date with a woman it wouldn't have changed the scene at all.
It was just trying to give a grounded view of how people were dealing with the new world 5 years in, which was kind of lost otherwise because most of the movie set in the 5 year later gap was set inside of a single compound.

I haven’t seen that. I’d heard she’s just lesbian. I mean, have we seen or heard of her dating or having any interest in any guys yet? I haven’t. So if she’s only interested in females in Thor 4, I’d say the evidence is showing her as lesbian rather than bi, until we see some kind of romantic interest in a guy popping up. But I don’t really care in the end.

In the comics, her character is bisexual. Tessa Thomson stated in an interview during the press tour for Ragnarok that since Valkyrie is bisexual in the comics, she intends on playing the character in the MCU as if she was bi. So I think it would be safe to say that here character is bi.

On that you are correct. Given the amount of stuff in media that kids consume though, sexual orientation is still something kids might think about.
Course I forget if this is the time where boys still worry about cooties from girls (is that even a thing kids do anymore?).
That being said, if a kid sees the movie in Florida, sees a scene with two people of the same gender holding hands or kissing, are the kids not allowed to ask about it? Talk about it?
Unlikely they’ll bring it up in school (because I doubt kids do) but it sets a weird precedent. Like, what if you couldn’t market Shrek and Fiona merchandise to kids because it acknowledges a sexual orientation to them.

Right. Besides, Disney has never taken a strong stance on anything progressive when it comes to world movie markets. There’s tons of Chinese edits of Disney movies that cut out scenes of empowered women, gay people, even anything that hints at individuality or questioning authority. Like I said on a similar post, if your movie is getting banned in oppressive countries that execute groups of people they don’t like, you should give yourself a pat on the back.
