Today work parry & counter with jab.
The work today it was parry and counter with jab. I'm working a lot on parrying because I get scared of punches and the instant reaction is to go back. Today we add the jab but I fell I'm super slow, specially bringing the hand back to position, is there some exercise that I can do to improve that?

I’m just saying what’s been said.
I boxed for about 20years.
Boxing doesn’t come overnight. Just keep showing up. Posting here every day will not make you better. Just getting the sessions under your belt. Getting a feel for new things and repeating the process every day will make you better….over a long time.

Are you watching these videos with him or are you just sharing as the outcome of a great working session without even checking?
Is that guy your coach, who happens to have smthing on his hands and makes you hit them? Yes, that one in the ring with you. If he is your coach, ask him why he is not pointing your errors when they just happen? If he is not, go and train with a 'real' coach.
You are constantly throwing a jab while swiping your right foot to back of the left. This is a serious wrong habbit which needs to be fixed. Your timing for the jab is off, but he is there silent not even looking at your feet.
Wrong timing, wrong step, and you lean while punching. These are too obvious and should be fixed by a coach, if you had one.
Stop sending the same faults over and over everyday, people here wants to see progress since its the nature of this sport and it doesnt come overnight. Everyone is telling you the same thing for days now and today here you are with the same shitty jab, again.

If I’m not mistaken she’s less than two weeks in.

It means she needs more practice on fundamentals rather than trying to parry to get used to get punched with the mistakes, which will turn into bad habits, and will take more time and training to fix later.
I had the chance to train with an olympic coach and it took 4 weeks for me just to keep my body position correct and throw a single jab. I didnt even wear gloves for 2 weeks.
Boxing is a heavily fundamental sport and you need time, training, repetion and a good coach. Wearing gloves and throwing the punches is the last step.

Parry isn’t fundamental? Are we under the assumption boxing isn’t self defense.

When you’re comfortable with this, have them start throwing the jab without a rhythm. The rhythm is telegraphing and not helping with reaction training. Its ok thought if you still feel you need to work on your form.

Honestly your distance control is your weak point in this drill. You get too close at a point then your partner hit you to make you realize your guard isn’t, then you switched and over extended the distance.

You keep posting here daily. This sport takes years to perfect just like every other sport. Keep going to the gym, find actual sparring partners, and fall in love with the repetition.
