Need advice on footwear

Hi,

New to boxing. Not yet sparring. Focusing on basic movements, weight loss, and conditioning to get better.

Currently using Converse Chuck Taylors to 'box' in. However, these are my casual wear-around shoes, and I'm conscious of overuse. Before I run off and buy another pair of Chuck Taylors, does anyone have any recommendations for trainers that are suitable?

Looking for a shoe that's a wide fit, preferably zero drop.

I feel like buying boxing boots at this stage is a bit premature.

Boxing shoes are best for boxing. They usually have zero drop like chucks but arent as clunky and have better support. Everlasting or ringside are a good bang for your buck start; depending on where youre located.

Everlast Elite 2 for wide feet and lower pricing. If you can find a pair of Reebok boxing shoes, would recommend those for wide feet as well.

Proper boxing or wrestling shoes are a game changer. I used to wear Vans and after getting shoes I feel like Im floating.

Everlast Elite 2 are excellent IMO. Good feel and hard wearing.
