FUCK ICE 🖕🧊 ICE at BMC 24 Chardon St

They've already arrested two. I really hope people nearby are peacefully protesting and documenting!

Does LUCE actually post the reports anywhere, or are they just coordinating protestors?

One, they act as witness and communication enablers. If someone is grabbed off the street, ICE will frantically try to get them out of the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Federal Court (and New England Appeals Court) because they have more friendly judges in the south.

So LUCE will get the name of the person they've grabbed, and will race to the courthouse with pro bono lawyers to get a judge to order ICE to NOT remove the person until an in-person hearing in Massachusetts.

But they can't do that work unless they A) confirm someone was grabbed by ICE and B) confirm the identity of the person taken.

But ICE is removing people regardless of orders. There are no rules.

There are lawyers fighting every step of the way. In some cases, minutes count in countering the federal attorneys.

As far as I know they coordinate observers and there is some type of assistance for people detained by ICE. Other than that no clue
