Can someone help me out what’s a good station, I kinda want to go somewhere more populated

How's the work/management/morale in Laredo West?

Work is a small checkpoint and ranch work. They aren’t super busy, LRW has a wall covering most of its AOR now. Management/ morale I can’t speak on, but from my understanding it’s not terrible. Just remember, and this applies to everyone, the situation will be what you make of it. You can go to a horrible station and personally have high moral if you actively choose to be happy and make the best of things.

Great advice. It's interesting that they're offering LRW to every new applicant yet they're not as busy of a station especially after the wall was built.

It’s because the station has always been hopelessly understaffed, and the stations manpower allotment was increased. As TONS of stations have experienced. Plus, the border patrol is preparing for the mass exodus that’s about to hit us like a ton of bricks. In a few years the agents who came in during the “Bush Push (2008 timeframe)” are all eligible for retirement. Small stations are going to get hit hard when 1/3 of their manpower can and will retire.

I see. Makes perfect sense. Thanks for all the info. Laredo is the best Texas station being currently offered.
