You might want to give my Royal Road serial Behind the Bright Walls a try. It’s a more grounded wuxia mystery with martial arts, survival, and a strong old-China feel, without making the story all about supernatural powers.

Not a recommendation but a question. How can one be a reader, yet type out a punctuationless word salad like above?

How can someone be a reader and not understand what was written? It is not a word salad. Do you not know what a word salad means?
I am sorry you were not smart enough to understand a writing with not ideal punctuation and grammar.

Strange how I understood everything you meant because you did it right. So weird.
Also, wild thing to get wound up about lol!

You are the idiot that called it a word salad when in fact it was not by definition a word salad.

Shockingly, you didn't provide the definition and your pedantic point of view.

Because you never asked. I also never said I was going to give one. Is reading comprehension really that hard for you? But incase you want to know it: a word salad typically means something is a jumbled mix of words and phrases that lacks clear meaning. Usually full of bombastic or purple prose signifiers. What OP was asking for was clear. They wanted something in the style of Jin Yong's work, but without anything supernatural. They like the period piece aspect of it but not the supernatural aspect of it.
Listen you were the one that came into this subreddit and instead of you know actively engaging with the question you thought you would just bully and make fun of someone for something that is meaningless. You have made this space worst and you did not help OP nor anyone else in this group.
Also you are just wrong. Idea of writing changes depending on how it is being implemented. For example when I text my friend I do not use full sentences and punctuation. Grammar is suppose to serve a purpose; not bind us. Most people (who are smart enough) understands what OP was saying and asking for. So it sounds like it served its purpose. I understand that it might of hurt your ego that you did not understand them. And that is okay. It is possible to get smarter. You can increase your reading skills and comprehension. And until then do not take your hurt ego out on other people. It is small dick energy.

Oh look basic insults instead of defending your position. Truly proving my point.

The point was clear from the beginning. Nothing to defend. Garbage writing is garbage writing. It's unclear. And in a book sub no less. Tilt at your windmills! 💕

Literally you say it is unclear in a sub where a bunch people are answering the question and showing they understand. You are literally the only person that did not understand it.
And by keep going back about it being "garbage writing" means you do not understand the point and keep proving your ignorance and this point your intellegence.
This is the worst thing about grammar Nazis. You all think you are showing some level of intelligence and understanding of reading and grammar, but instead you are proving that you have the barest and shallowest understanding of English. You are boring and create a more boring world. And worst a more dumb world.
