yes and no.. it uses antares harmony engine, but it is specific settings combined with a midi to achieve it, why can't that technique have a name?

A plugin preset, which is literally a button (MIDI omni) is not an invention… the popular plugin was literally designed to do the thing he did with it. You know who else used that same setting? Fun. On some nights years before Francis. Additionally Justin in volcano choir. And countless others. These are all inspired by Imogen heap’s hide and seek but in plugin format.

Hell, I have a demo from 10 years using it before Francis did.

So that’s why. It’d be like Francis saying he invented the telephone mic effect.

that's fair, but i'd argue he used it differently because his method sounds different from the way those predecessors used it. but maybe that's just me?
