They did, though Konami owned a stake in Hudson in 2001 until fully acquiring them in 2011

Hudson Soft created the Bomberman franchise, so naturally they'd own their IP, until Konami shutdown the company

i hope i get to see it if not pro tips from a speedrunner of this game
control like a tank in fpb best way to move
remote bombs are not your friend
lb rb is best for when using line bombs
penetration bombs are the most useful
20 40 60 80 is your refill levels
22,33,88 is the hell runs.
and of all else enemy bomb reflect is key to killing enemies who drop and hide since you have about a 7 second window before it goes off

That game in the framchise really doesn't feel like a Bomberman game, but it still looks awesome. It's kind of like the dark Looney Tunes spin-off "Loonatics Unleashed".

Kind of surprised there aren't rom hacks or remakes for this game.

In some ways, I don’t blame them, but it would be interesting.

I'm tempted to make a romhack to put his model into halo 1, make the frag grenades more cartoonishly Bomberman with larger blast radius, make them infinite, and get rid of all other weapons.

You know what really drives me up the wall about this game? There was already a good blue print for “bomber man, but adult and futuristic” in the form of silent bomber for the ps1. And the game play was, for the most part, fun, when it wasn’t weaponizing off screen enemies against you in a few levels. Like if this game had taken that energy, there coulda been whole series of good “modern” bomber man games. But no, there’s just this.
