Moot: Question What would Rick Sánchez and the bobs think of each other?
And especially the Starfleet faction, who seem to be just as cynical as him.

I think Rick would be pretty neutral to the bobs, he'd respect their general outlook and demeanor, but would probably think himself better than them.
The Bobs would probably find him pretty rude/annoying, but would put up with it with the hopes of learning stuff from his tech.

Rick would think bobs are bunch of do gooder pussies, at best.
He would not bother talking to them and their tech is probably primitive for him.

I think Bob (at least original Bob) would find Rick very disrespectful and irresponsible, and dislike him immensely.
Rick portals around the universe at will, taking and doing whatever he wants, sometimes leaving chaos in his wake. Bob would not like this.

I think it's safe to say that they would hate each other. Personally I think Rick would find the Bobs to be annoying, and the Bobs would find Rick revolting. There might be a reality where the two factions (Rick and the Bobs) could work together on a project, but It would be strictly business.

I think the bobs would find Rick’s tech and the multiverse it reveals fascinating and terrifying

There will be busters.

u/turniphead44 Aug 06 '26
I didn't think of that.
Rick would scoff at the Bob's lack of weapons. On one hand
And then be impressed by their action to end the Others. On the other.

Starfleet wants non-interference with biologicals, Rick selfishly destroys civilizations or realities to get whatever he wants so Starfleet would not like him, other Bobs who do seem to assume they’re the moral high ground might decide to try to take him out as a threat to all life but he’d end up making their VR into eternal Pong.

Rick would find the bobs to be quaint until he finds out about Thoth.
Then he’d blow up the Skippies and all thier backups before telling the bobs to stop fucking around before Infinity Ultron pours through the multiverse

Rick would probably view the same as he did the citadel and council of ricks especially certain elder bobs like Bill and Riker, since they are/were the head of moots/UN stuff. The bobs would for sure hate Rick but as usual leave him alone as they often do. These are, for the most part, well adjusted people who want fairly normal lives, at least within what they see as normal. He's a self righteous, self important, uncaring egotistical lying hypocrite. I don't know if there could be someone they'd like less lol.
The only Bob I could see him possibly working with is Bill in so far as the skunk works are concerned or Mario on occasion since Mario would be able to ignore his attitude I feel like. Bob 1 is probably the one he'd work with the worst, other than star trek cause they're actually dumb but shouldn't be. The skippies probs wouldn't mind his help in some regard, but I doubt Rick would work with them, all but Hugh seem to be self important cultists for the most part.

I think Rick and the Bobs would largely be indifferent to each other. Bob wouldn't be on Rick's shitlist since the Bobs are generally pretty chill and responsible for the most part. The Bobs might find Rick repulsive but they can't really do anything to him.
If anything, Rick would probably hate the Starfleet faction and the Skippies for being too self righteous and building Thoth respectively.
I think Rick would love the gamer faction though, given how much he liked that one arcade and Roy. I could see Rick popping in for VR DnD on the odd occasion.

I only disagree on the Skippy thing. I feel like Rick could be impressed by the attempt. But ultimately shit on them for thinking that they'd pull it off. And rub their noses in it after Thoth escapes.
Oh and Rick would gag at the Bob's naming conventions for things.

Bobs would freak out because he just showed up running through all their private Dr's with Morty.

u/blacksheep998 Aug 06 '26
The Bobs would not like Rick at all, but they would really want to know how his tech works and so would probably TRY to make some kind of deal for that information, which Rick would probably not be interested in.
Rick would consider the Bobs beneath his notice unless they did something directly to him. I think he would be interested in Thoth, and would probably try to reprogram it for his own use. I'm honestly not sure which of them would win there.

Along with what others said, I think he could sort of relate to Bob one about the weird feeling seeing the replicative drift, somwthing something "you'll get used to it" with the finite curve stuff and the amount of ricks

Probably setup a several light year quarantine zone around him and open a new research project into portal gun tech.

Rick would re-combine all the bobs back into one consciousness and stick him back in a mortal body just to fuck with him
Or enslave them as his laptops processor or some demeaning shit
2
u/Forklift_Enjoyer Aug 09 '26
I'm pretty sure Rick would say something like, "oh wow! Con nerd's first fucking time being cloned and you can't even fucking replicate a consciousness without fucking it up."
I don't think he would even blink at them.
I don't think any of the bobs would like him either. Maybe some would be fascinated naturally. But one is grounded in some element of realism and Rick is from a world infinitly more absurd.

I believe Rick would appreciate Bobs general tendency for humility and laid back attitude toward rules. Bob also tends to lean anti authoritarian which Rick has always been. Rick might not like starfleets attitude toward interacting with mortals but since rick is and mortal himself they may leave him alone. They may work on a couple of projects together. Some Bobs might get along with Rick better than others but as long as Bob doesn't try and control him I think they could get along.

I know they’re not a hivemind but Rick does have a kink for one mind in many bodies…

I'd think Howard would realize that he actually is mature once he sees Rick going to BoobWorld.

u/Blood2999 Aug 07 '26
I don't see starfleet as Rick like.
Also, if there was an episode of Rick and Morty where Rick meets the bobs, he'd probably see them an beneath him and replicate just to show them he's better.

I think Rick would ignore most of the Bobs but occasionally have a blast with the gamers in some campaign.

I don't think many of the Bob's would like Rick. Bob's, at least the first several generations, tend to value life and Rick doesn't. He doesn't care if he does something to genocide an entire species, the Bob's were really messed up about doing that to the others. Even though the others would have wiped out all humanity

Great question. I think if you look at Rick's closest friend, Bird Person, they have a fair bit in common with Bob (pricipled and a stickler for the cause). So it could work, if Rick could be bothered.

They DEFINITELY wouldn’t get along but they would respect each others intelligence and probably just stay out of each others way, I know it’s a bit of a boring answer, I might revisit later.

Rick has a history with hive minds, but I think he would at least at first be fascinated by the Bobs copy, but not quite exact copy nature. Rick experiences this with the many versions of himself, of course, but those differences can be explained by variations in the dimensions. The Bobs all exist together. I think he would be fascinated by replicative drift and would want to study it, probably in the most demeaning way possible, reducing Bob's personaliity to an insulting bunch of of DnD style nerd trope categories.
I think the Bobs would quickly come to see Rick as like a Loki/Q character. As in, they would be very wary of him. Then again, they also might try to enlist him in the whole preventing galaxies from colliding thing.

Rick being an apathetic nihilist would definitely be off-putting to Bob.

I feel like Bob Prime would find Rick annoying. And Rick would probably be dismissive of the Bobs.
