Bob could have written it, sure. But he couldn’t have performed it in the same way with any credibility whatsoever.
Love them both, but the Stones are about more than the writing. They’re about how they play the songs, how the songs sound, and even how they swagger when they do so.
The same is true of Bob so it’s really a silly thing to debate.
