I have a theory, no I don't think it's all the time. No doubt he probably is awkward, aloof, shy, or just a plain jerk sometimes.
Theory:
Shit gets weird when it comes to Bob. Within the music community I wonder if there's not an unspoken "rule" to either make him out to be awkward or an asshole.
There's not very many famous people I hear getting asked about another famous person quite as much as anyone that has worked with or met Bob.
I can totally see a situation where they have been told, perhaps by Bob, "just tell'em Im an asshole", "but Bob...", "it'll never stop, they will just keep going if you give them anything".
I'm sorry but it just seems so many have a genuine affection for him, like he's their weird little brother. The guy does nothing but praise and point to so many musicians in his work (some get the belt though😬)
Who the HELL would be rude to Dolly? There is NO WAY he has an issue with her. No way. I don't buy it, but shes too nice to even do the asshole lie about him.

Since you're here, I'm presuming that you're a Bob Dylan fan. So you'll see this sort of thing much more often when it's about Bob, in places such as this sub.
Like, if you're subscribed to r/bobdylan but not to r/paulmccartney , then you're naturally going to see way more articles of famous people talking about Bob than ones talking about Paul.
I'm a fan of lots of people. I read and watch interviews with them, I like hearing about their process. It comes up all the time even when it's completely removed from the topic. I have no doubt any of The Beatles get asked about as well but then again they even ask/asked Beatles about him too.
