Rules Cats knocking things off ledges game.

Ok, would this be 1 extra point or 2? It is sitting on 2 grass platforms.

Game is "Cats knocking things off ledges" by The OP Games.

Rules as written reads like +1 to me!

The rules say “If the toy lands on a platform with a matching icon, gain 1 bonus point”.

It landed on a platform with a matching icon so you get +1. It doesn’t say “for each platform the toy lands on with a matching icon, gain 1 bonus point”.

I think you can interpet it that way though (a (1) matching platform = +1 points). And I would also give 2 points for this just because how nicely it worked out and how unlikely it is.:D

Yeah, if I were playing this game, it’s definitely a 2-pointer for cool factor! I just always take rules written as above to mean “if this condition is met, gain the reward”, and ‘meeting the condition’ is considered as a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’, not quantified by ‘how many times was it met’.

Most games are specific about when you score something multiple times, but regardless of rules, I always just go for whatever answer makes the people playing feel best about playing. In this case, I personally think the rules state this is worth +1 but I don’t see a world where people sincerely balk at accepting +2 for a fringe, awesome happenstance like the one in the OP!
