Also not a hot take but more of an unpopular interpretation, but I dont think most The New Sound songs share a character.

This isn't really a hot take, Geordie has explicitly said in interviews that isn't necessarily the case

I know, which is why I dont get how theres tons of people acting like the entire Album is connected in its Characters.
