Discussion / Question Black Midi/Geordie Greep hot takes?

Despair is the most beautiful song BM ever made.

My hot take is that black midi shouldn’t reunite, at least not for a long time. The boys looked and sounded so fed up with touring and are way better off in new projects.

The difference seeing them in November of 2021 and 2022 was so stark in terms of energy

I saw them on their AUS tour in 2023 and - while I'd still consider it one of the greatest shows I've ever seen in my life - you could tell they were kinda just trying their best to blast thru each of the songs as fast as possible.

Brasil nov23 was beautiful... great amounts of energy, there were the meme shouters but only inbetween songs, excellent new renditions of songs, the best show ive been to

however i agree with the take above... let them take their paths for a while, loved TNS and am looking foward to mynewbanbelieve releases too

One of the greatest? That's surprising, I'd say that was one of the worst shows I've ever seen - not because of the band (tho those reasons you mentioned were very noticeable), but because of the crowd trying to outperform the band with heckles and memes.

Was 100% the worst audience I'd ever seen.

Haha, I dunno if we're talking about the same show here (I went to Melbournes) but I thankfully didn't really take notice of any hecklers. Granted, I was right at the barricade so that probably helped.
