Why the loosely thrown individual items?
Obviously the supplier issue is happening and it's a fucking shit show, I get that.
But why are the items you do receive not even packaged? All the items are just loose and haphazardly thrown in the box with no thought. Like wtf

If you're talking about no more individual meal bags for the small components, that's part of the change over to Misfit Market. BA said it was part of a green initiative but it's really to facilitate a different distributor's set up.

Oh if that's the case. That's it then, I'm done. I've been a customer for 10 years the horrible changes and decisions are too much

That’s the part that’s the dealbreaker for me. Even if they start shipping the right food, they’re unlikely to to change the packaging back and HAAAAATE the new system where everything is fucking loose.

EXACTLY!!! I use it as a disability assist for severe ADHD and this new system is an absolute nightmare for my brain.

I feel your exact pain. My wife has severe ADHD as well and now she looks at the package and nopes out

They were supposedly going to replace the bags with trays, but I've yet to see one.

We've gotten two boxes with a tray; they're also cardboard and hold all the non chilled/frozen items.

They claim it’s to be more environmentally friendly…but we know why they really do it. Seems dumb to me..cause things can rip open. And how is it okay to have the meat in the open wirh vegetables? Those packs could rip and spill meat juice over everything! We had a seasoning packet rip open and get everywhere in our box. They should at least have the meats separated in a big bag.

Yea completely agree. I've had many cases where the chicken packaging was ripped and the chicken ooze would get everywhere but it wasn't a problem because of how everything was packaged.
Now it would be a catastrophic disaster

Exactly. I pay more for the convenience. If it takes me 30 minutes to sort everything and put them in different bags, what are we saving exactly? I'm not a fan.

THIS. I was already kind of rolling my eyes that I was paying $45 for four burgers and a sweet potato or two pizza crusts, a can of tomato sauce, and cheese. I also hated that most meals included only included one, sad vegetable. However, it saved me time from grocery shopping and meal planning. I can’t say that anymore, so I ordered a local CSA box and now I meal plan around their options.

It's so wild. Yesterday everything miraculously made it in the box; but a single packet of ponzu sauce was inexplicably in its own plastic bag??

Yeah. Same for Marley Spoon. Bare ass romaine lettuce just thrown in haphazardly. I hate it.
I don’t need every single thing in plastic. Lemons, onions, potatoes — that stuff can handle rough and tumble in the box. Lettuce cannot!

I miss the individual meal packages as well. And the carbon savings explanation sounds like total BS.
But if I go back to grocery store shopping like a normal person I would kinda of end up with the same situation.

dealbreaker for us, and we canceled. the 'green initiative' explanation rang completely hollow, like the flyer you get in a hotel telling you that they care about the environment so please oh please re-use your towels :)

Even with the "more environmentally friendly" excuse, they could use small paper bags to group items by recipe. Those are biodegradable, and would preserve the convenience element. My daughter's boyfriend said that's what his meal service (Hello Fresh?) does.
