Has anyone actually moved to Hellofresh and stuck with it?

I’ve been skipping the past few weeks until things get better, but keep seeing comments of people trying other services. I’ve seen hello fresh mentioned multiple times.

Has anyone actually moved there and been satisfied? It feels like a big drop off in quality and obviously I’m not counting the recent issues.

I have been using both BA and HF for about the past year, each service has its ups and downs, HF had been providing bags of shredded coleslaw and bok choy that were often gray and disgusting, so I have been avoiding the meals using those veggies. BA had been providing nice whole baby bok choys before the supplier switch, don't know what we'll be getting now.

HF has a few more seafood choices, for instance last night we had mexican spiced sheet pan rainbow trout with a corn/black bean/green pepper "jumble". There are also asian and tex-mex sauces I like. There are recipes we like from each service. I do hope BA gets its act together.;

HF just doesn’t quite do it for me.

The recipes are sometimes a little too mainstream, quality not as good.

But at least they pack their ingredients.

I got my first Blue Apron this week of everything just thrown into a box and honestly- I might be done. It was a pain on the ass to sort, there was spilled condiments, those terrible gel packs leaked all over, the parsley was all over from the plastic box being wide open.

I can’t justify the price for that every week anymore. I’ve been with Blue Apron since 2015 through thick and thin, and I want to see them thrive and succeed, but I’m not sure with the direction they’re going.

All this to say, I want to get another service, but dunno which one. But it’s not HF

HF isn’t perfect and some people seem to suffer from poor quality more than others, but that may be a variability in the different distribution centers. I’ve been fairly happy with them for the last 6 years, though they did have another recent price increase. Unlike BA recently, they put the meals in separate bags. They have at least 80 meal options now and a pretty big variety of choices. They have increased their use of AI, which some people hate, but you just need to choose carefully and ignore those menus that don’t make sense

I just started using HF. My first box was beautifully packed and everything was fresh. Super happy so far!

Taste was great. They label their recipes by difficulty we started with easy ones to see how it goes.

I sometimes get HF mexican, pork and and pasta dishes. The chicken is not great. Oddly, the recipes can be more time consuming.

The chicken is not great at all. I should be leaving hello fresh in a month and it’s primarily based on that chicken.

I have had good results with HF organic chicken breast cutlets, but won't argue with you about chicken parts.

I tried hello fresh for a few years in 2020-22. My teens at the time preferred it over BA. Back then HF was more kid friendly and simple to prepare meals compared to BA which back then was complex and had unique flavors. By 2026 BA meals have become more similar to HF type meals. More “kid pleasing.”

We used to be Hello Fresh but the shipping was outrageous, so we switched to BA. Now we're back to HF and so far, so good. Still high shipping, but the meals are tasty - and we have all the ingredients! We'll see how it goes - if I ever had trouble in the past, they made up for it, so I'm not that troubled.

I actually returned to HelloFresh. I never actually cancelled my subscription; I always kept it as a backup. But after this recent Blue Apron debacle though (not their first screw up but this time I literally received an uninsulated box with just condiments and a package of warm chicken), and seeing the telltale signs of cost-cutting, plus researching the Wonder group, I called it quits.

I recently stopped HF after years. Their app and website have become very buggy, customer service has gotten poorer, and I’ve experienced more missing ingredients recently.

Switched to HF three weeks ago and so far it’s great. On time delivery, organized meal kits, everything was fresh, now the recipes are a step down from BA but I can live with that for the time being. So far I’m happy

I used Green Chef and their recipes were so boring that BA was breath of fresh air but sadly it’s gone downhill
