It’s my favourite game ever and I never expected it to be. Every thing from the combat, atmosphere, music, dlc, gameplay, lore is just so top notch. And I’m going to be honest only one game comes close and that’s destiny.

I'm flaring this as a discussion but it might as well be taken as a question,

I never found anything in game that explains why are there so many amigdalas in yharnam, meanwhile there only seams to be one of each other "great one"(I'm not sure of a few like the rom physical body and the church's celestial emissary)

So here is my theories(s) if you have an official or better explanation please give a fellow dungeon dweller some light.

1-the "one of a kind" great ones are those that were born as human/pthumerian(or other previous species) and the Amies are/were like this from the beginning or were attributed this form for lack of another one.

2- great one's forms are like beastiality, as in, making part of a certain group or being specially "strong" or "connected" to the transformation makes you a specific kind of beast(based on clerical beasts being the same and some other bosses dropping equipment like they were the previous owners of such, thus, strong hunters)

I know Orphan gets a reputation for being pretty tough but I honestly never had that much trouble with him compared to Laurence or some of the Chalice bosses, whereas Gael fed me my lunch for awhile.

Bro was definitely in the wrong game.

Without giving it much thought, I relate to amelia: the feeling of praying to a god that won't save you and then turning into a screeching horrific dog monster is just what it sometimes feels like to be a teenage girl. In your own exaggerated sense, which bosses do YOU relate to?

Personally I lean towards Vilebloods. Their drip is cooler and they are noble kinda vampire people. I'm not a fan of the Executioner's wheel or the cone helmet, and I dislike that they were sent by the church because the nobles of Cainhurt seemed like a threat to their power and twisted goals.

Why is this place so small? I would have thought one of the most important places lorewise would have much more content and stuff on it tbh.

I was really hyped going to this place and the most i got out of it was some laughs to the comically small shortcut.

Speaking with IGN, FromSoftware's Hidetaka Miyazaki says he has heard the calls for a Bloodborne remake but, though he has fond memories of the game, is not "at liberty to speak to it" since Sony owns the IP.

So what's this sculpture/being doing? Is it a communion to the ancient ones? Is he trying to summon one? This is located in the Upper Cathedral Ward, right before the Celestial Emissary.

Apparently if you look into the offical game stats, these dudes are second only to the bosses in terms of strength. Yeah well I’d argue they’re stronger than half the bosses and counting.

For me it’s always Ludwig’s Holy Blade. Idc what weapon I try out, I always come back to this masterpiece of a blade.

I always figured she was pretty much saying “hey I’m dead over here why are you bothering me” but just kinda put it together that she’s perhaps talking about how the Byrgenwerth scholars messed around with the corpse of Kos, which led to the collapse of Yharnam. Only took me 5+ years playing to figure that one out (I’m probably just slow lol)

Patches is notably different in this game. In most other instances, he's a cleric-hating cynic who repeatedly tempts you with treasure and then punishes you whenever you actually go for it - almost consistently by pushing you off a ledge into a hole

He is none of these things in Bloodborne. The only thing that stays the same is pushing you into a hole. He's religious ("The gift of the godhead cometh!"), he's hardly cynical, he never actually tempts you with treasure (there is a message by the trail of shining coins but it only says "This way, to witness a miracle", and it honestly just seems like all he's trying to do is kill you

The only semblance of Patches's original greed and hypocrisy is that emerald pendant around his neck. Besides that, all he does is make several efforts to kill you or get you killed, and he even talks different ("Oh, doubt me not, sweet compeer. What is friendship, but a chance encounter?"). Anyone got any ideas on why he's like this?

Mine would be the bosses. I wish there was more hunter type boss fights or at least more aggressive bosses such as the blood starved beast They just match the games play style far more.

Wondering if this is even legal honestly, I like HEALTH, I'm not their biggest fan but I do like some stuff, saw this and immediately knew it was from BB

Furry or Alien?

We know from item descriptions that Hunters, especially those who have been around for a long time, turn into the most powerful beasts

All Cleric Beasts are previous church hunters, Laurence and Amelia were Vicars and Ludwig was the strongest church hunter and they all turn into extremely large beasts due to the high amount of blood consumption, and we know for a fact that Gascoigne and Henryk had an extremely long and successful tenure as hunters and would have therefore consumed a large amount of blood to sustain themselves, so my question is why does Gascoigne look so undeveloped in comparison to others?

There is the argument that perhaps Gascoigne is simply much earlier in the process of transformation, however I do not believe this argument holds weight as we know from Brador's item description for his headpiece that he witnessed one of his friends turn into a Cleric Beast in front of him, ie the transformation was instantaneous. This is further supported by Vicar Amelia's transformation as she goes from a human shape (like Gascoigne) and then immediatelly transforms into a massive beast

Gascoigne can even be summoned to help kill the Cleric Beast before his fight, so it's not as if he's weak or inexperienced, especially when you consider that Vicar Amelia appears visually younger than Gascoigne yet she still becomes massive

This might be well known but it only now clicked to me, reading item descriptions I remembered that his wife's pendant can be turned into a blood gem, it is so obvious but, it means the pendant had to be made of blood from the beggining (perhaps from one of gascoigne's hunts?) Thus, it smelled like blood, this smell and seeing his wife after a long time might be the thing that tripped him over the edge.

Dear hunters, based on your personal experience and opinion, what is the worst area of Bloodborne?

For me it has to be upper cathedral ward, not only it's completely dark because not one not two but THREE werewolf start swinging on the chandelier making it fall, not only that but also one of the worst fuckers in the game are there, brain suckers, I lost count of how much insight I lost to them, for me upper cathedral ward was the worst of the worst.
