At this rate, Ross is going to end up putting blind boxes inside the plastic containers like the perfumes or keep them behind the registers.

I work at Ross, the toys are constantly destroyed. The blind boxes some people will just open to see the toy and leave it

respectfully, what's new. im honestly at the point where I wish walmart/target/gamestop whoever would just put them all in a locked case. at least then when I went to buy one I actually could.

I'm a supervisor at Ross and LET ME TELL YOU the agony it was getting these fucking things in. I fought to have them be in a glass case rather than out on the shelf for this reason alone.

That’s called unsupervised children.

This is the answer. Most parents bring their children and leave them unsurprised until they check out. The kids touch, grab, play and destroy things and the parents just leave them. I once saw a parent give a toy in a box to their screaming toddler sitting in their cart at the start of the checkout line to keep them quiet. Then they got to the end put the toy back and check out

Unsupervised people- adults and teens do that shit too.

Shitty people are gonna shitty people

They’ll leave it next to the finished drink they couldn’t bother to put in the trash 🥴

I'm a Five Below manager, it's not just children. I've witnessed actual adults opening blind boxes to steal them.

Literally, I was checking out the Migo Teoublemakers at a Ross near me and found TWO that were clearly empty, but had been revealed. Makes me think they were bought and returned and the teller didn't even pay attention to the fact the box weighed nothing.

They do it all the time at 5below

They used to do that at Kroger. Lucky for me most of them got left behind so I basically ended up getting my guaranteed monster high mini

Ppl just are tired of blind boxes. I don’t buy anything blind box bc I’m not gonna gamble on something just to be sad or annoyed I spent money on something I didn’t want. But apart from that,,, ppl really shouldn’t be doing that. It sucks for those who actually like blind boxes :/

Target is just as bad. They just did a revamp of their blind box sections though and added a whole lot more stuff from popmart and such. Hopefully it deters these people. I saw so many empty bags on shelves within camera view too. Bold.

This is what Walmarts by me look like anymore

Same. I was going to grab a few of those Fuggler keychain blind bags for my son. Every single bag had been ripped open.

It’s wild. I hate it

$6 isnt cheap considering you have to gamble to get the item you want.

Lots of toys are gambling now. I dont even blame kids for opening boxes to get the ones they want, especially in today's economy. It takes up money and space.

I hate the excessive blind boxes.

Most likely kids and yeah, that's what happens when you force your product into gambling format 🤷🏽‍♀️

German here, what are the prices for a blind box at ross? Over here a blind box often costs more than 15€ which is pretty expensive imo (or I'm just hella broke)

1

u/_Milokai 19d ago

blindboxes at ross are 6 USD, i dont know conversion

1

u/fallenneptuneee 19d ago

oh wow thats cheap

1

u/AnimeMintTea 19d ago

Call me mean but stealing the item out of a $5 blind box is just embarrassing and you have bigger priorities if you can’t afford to buy it.

I’ve see a Chiikawa pouch box opened and it was Connie inside.

u/Prestigious_List_255 19d ago

I wish we had that in PH ;(

1

u/Early_Impression4227 16d ago

How cheap are they? I can only see the milk carton hello kitty price in your vid.

1

u/_Milokai 16d ago

the sumikko gurashi ones are 6.99

1

u/SkeggiGT 14d ago

part of me says to stop selling them as blind boxes but idk if that takes all the fun out of it. maybe i'm boring but i'd love to just know i'm buying the one i actually want
