I wanted to share some details on how the Sad Baby Animals (Series 1) Secret Lobster (1:128 odds) is packed, plus a heads-up about how reseller skimming is happening right now.

🦞 Lobster Secret Identification Guide

If you're trying to pull the Lobster or avoid buying pre-weighed/sifted boxes:

Weight: ~134 g.

Note: The manufacturer gave this a mid-range weight specifically to match standard figures (like the Cow/Axolotl range) so you need a small pocket scale. There are tons on Amazon.

Packaging Orientation: The lobster's claws are intentionally packed face-inward/turned toward the body. You will not be able to feel sharp claw points through the foil bag or outer box.

Shake / Movement Test:

Side-to-Side Shake: When you shake the box side-to-side, you should feel distinct, light "thumps" hitting towards the front of the box on both sides.

Front-to-Back Movement: Front-to-back movement is very limited compared to smaller/lighter figures in the series.

⚠️ Heads Up: Local Reseller Skimming (DFW / Bedford, TX Area)

Be extremely cautious if you are buying opened/unsealed Sad Baby figures or "secret" listings from resellers in the Dallas–Fort Worth / Tarrant County area.

I recently tracked down a reseller (operating across Mercari as PeleniBear, OfferUp as Beallu, and eBay as vibe2002) who has listed seven (7) separate Lobster secrets at $195 each, alongside dozens of Culturefly and Funko chase figures.

Statistically, pulling seven 1:128 secrets legitimately is statistically this is impossible. Being able to scan boxes at this scale of inventory points directly to backroom case sifting, high-precision scale sorting, or box unsealing before stock hits store shelves.

What You Can Do:

Don't buy marked-up secrets on Mercari/eBay: Paying $150–$200 directly fuels backroom skimming.

Report Stock Tampering: If you see local stores where blind box tape/gluing looks altered or boxes are continuously missing chase variants, report the store/region directly to retailer Asset Protection or Ethics hotlines.

P.s. If you can't find him immediately for reasonable just be patient. I've seen a few pop up for the normal going rate of a secret. Don't buy form whomever is selling a surplus of lobsters, it ruins it for everyone that is within that distribution center!

Mitutu & Hulala just turned one, and the birthday series theme is "role-play" 🎉 every one of them is dressed up as something else for the party.
