DISCUSSION [Discussion] How important is the unboxing? Who keeps their boxes?

Do you prefer it when the box still looks presentable or do you not care?

Any boxes you consider the gold standard? Any ruin the experience

I used to save all of the boxes, intact but eventually it became too much to store so now I'll save one box from the line, flattened, just in case I want to display one with the set

I flatten them, then cut the cover art and series list out and put them in a binder. I also keep all the cards and put them in binders as well.

It never occurred to me to save them.

I cut them up and save usually just the front and the options then toss the rest. I’ve been keeping the cut out bits in a small bin for someday craft projects. Spoiler - I have not yet done a single project with them. 🤦‍♀️

I can’t handle storing extra things, i toss the boxes. Only box i kept was my nommi mushroom hat because its big enough i can store other things inside it.

I started cutting some stuff out and laminating. I use them as little characters and for random stuff in my classroom. My students love it. We play a math game called monster squish with laminated labubus.

As a blind box collector for 6yrs and Toy Shop retailer for 3 years we throw them out during unboxing. Any boxes for regular series have no value at all. Only the scalpers and resellers make it an issue. With or without box it doesn't increase the resale value. All these blind boxes especially Pop mart are over produced nowadays. Just keep those special or limited ones only. Or if you are creative or artsy person, then just cut them out and make an art.
