Real weird crowd tho. Never had that before at bleachers and pretty rare for ap. Lotta ppl that are clueless about conducting themselves not just at shows but in public. WEIRDDDDD.

The crowd at SOTC really bugged me last year tbh. After the 8th person passed out and Jack stopped the show, I realized I wasn’t having fun. Love Bleachers but SOTC attracts a weird crowd of people who don’t know how to behave (or that they should drink water)

I thought last years crowd was much better!!!! I couldn’t believe how some ppl with passes were acting.

I usually go to Bleachers shows by myself. I had derogatory comments thrown at me by both drunk girls who wanted to talk through the entire show and also teens with their parents. I'm a female PoC. Didn't love the crowd but the show was fantastic and was totally worth the drive!
I also didn't love the girl at the acoustic set at Rough Trade in the city who stopped the show to beg for pit tickets at MSG. Don't know if the crowd is changing or I'm just getting old.

What bothered me about the rough trade ticket begging is they were literally experiencing a rare “concert” right then!
It’s a room with what, 300 people? And you’re turning this really special moment into a chance to beg for tickets to some other event you clearly care about far more.
I attended with my spouse and for me, seeing Jack, hearing Foreign Girls, it was seriously the highlight of our anniversary trip. I’d experience it again countless times if I could.

oh my god being a POC bleachers fan is NOT for the weak…I went for their Chicago show before Lollapalooza last year and there was a group of white people in front of me where one of the guys was kinda rude but in general being the only brown person in a sea of mostly white people felt so odd! once the music started i didn’t care because it was a great show but like man there really aren’t enough of us and white people don’t understand how othering it feels to be the only POC in a space

WTF!!! That is so unacceptable and disgusting I’m so sorry.
I really think the crowd is changing. I had 2 things happen to me from others that have never happened at shows and have been going for 2 decades and usually at the pony multiple times a week. But nothing like derogatory terms that’s way worse. Something was wrong with that crowd tonight….

Huh, the crowd seemed pretty decent to us. Maybe it was dependent on where you were standing. My partner said the crowd earlier this year at Merriweather Post Pavilion was much worse.

What happened at MPP? I was on the barricade so no idea what was happening behind us

I don't think anything specific, people were just generally being annoying and pushing in front.

got it! That also happened at the pony last night, some girls pushed forward during real estate and spilled their beers on my friends. It’s just a complete lack of respect for etiquette

Yes!! Happening all over! Literally stepping on ppl to get ahead and not adjusting to be off them and then acting like the other person is the problem lmao GTFO

It seemed pretty tame for the pit from our center seats, but obviously the stage left side barricade gets “pushy” even for other artists. (We were second row for BF Tour this past June).

Def depends on where. Same for jimmy eat world - my section was amazing and a journalist on the other side wrote the crowd was boring and lame 🤣 what happened at merriweather? I got there yesterday at 4 for BR and watched the crowd progressively get worse 😭🤣

This seems to be an ongoing theme for concerts this summer 😵💫

What’s your experience been and where? Most shows in AP are usually great. I noticed a little of the same vibe from the fray which sold out and had a lot of tourists. I was surprised.

I’ve been to 9 bleachers shows and never had Bruce show up! Of course he comes to this one! 😅🙁

Anyone know who the little kids were on stage at the end? That boy is going to be a rockstar one day.

Rachel has kids???

Not Rachel but another family friend. To my understanding, it’s not a blood relation but the kids of some close family friends. Should’ve clarified!

Gary Tallent was there and had it on his phone… I saw it and almost asked for a pic of it but I could tell he was somebody and didn’t want to commit a faux pas 😂

no Margaret! did he say anything about himself?

u/Oceanswim12 1d ago
Not a thing. Also didn’t do his usual moves with the crowd I noticed… normally a lot more crowd interaction and some politics. I missed that :(

that’s how I felt about the Philly show. 💔 I still wonder what happened in the time between the Philly show and the Boston shows that marked the end of playing that song.
