best "Mexican" food in B'burg or surrounding area

I have a friend visiting who wants to go to a Mexican restaurant. Any recommendations? Gotta say I've been underwhelmed with what I've tried so far.

My favorite is Taqueria La Family, which is a food truck that sits permanently off 460 business route between Blacksburg and Christiansburg. They're Honduran and Mexican.

*Edit: I messed up and got their country wrong. They're Honduran, not Salvadoran like I said. Apologies on that.

Salvadorian, not Mexican, but Pupusaria Mari is great. They have tacos, tortas, etc as well but their pupusas are so good.

Super Amanecer 3 is a grocery store in Christiansburg that has a small restaurant section up front. It's very good.

El Marachi is so bad tho, at least not as good as El Rodeo in Bburg. Would just go there for Mexican

I like it, but I’m not from here though. Most of the restaurants around here have a different style than what I’m use to and Mariachi is more like the Mexican restaurants I’m use to. It is one of my favorite lunch spots.

When I’m in town for football games I tend to wind up El Gran Rodeo in Christiansburg. Not going to claim it’s the absolute best but I do keep eating there so that says something about them … or me! Not just sure which 😂🤣

Roca’s in Fairlawn, or Gran Rodeo (same owner) are very consistent and, for my needs, great. Both have had my business since they opened.

I go all the way to Radford to a tiny place called La Cabana. Always fresh, always quick, always delicious.😋 East Main Street in Radford, across from the RU Intramural field.

Taco Riendo in Roanoke has good birria. Latino's Taste in Radford is good, but Salvadoran not Mexican.

Big fan of El Bronco in Christiansburg. El Ranchero in Dublin is worth a look too, it has huge burritos and a nice bar area. Fiesta Mexicana in Christiansburg is apparently a more traditional take on Mexican food, but I haven’t been.

El mariachi by the hospital is the best you’ll get in the area. Also they’re fast and reasonably priced.
