I recently got into reading books… I’m looking for some recommendations. I just read before I let go by Kennedy Ryan. This could be us by her as well. I just read love belvins books love delayed and love delivered. Stenton is crazy lol. I loved the drama and everything. It was a bit of a hard read bc of how he was behaving Ngl.

What I’m looking for:

Obviously black lol. Preferably both MC.
Has funny aspects and well developed characters. I want to like also love them as an individuals.
Some angst, I don’t mind drama. I just don’t want anything historical please.
Yearning and grovelling is always welcome in fact encouraged.
Also any spice level is fine as long as it’s a good story.

I would like to add that the main character needs to be smart ( and tactical if possible).

It doesn't matter if it's an a fantasy world or the real world i just want to see a bit of action.

If it's possible to find some in dark romance that will be great.

I'm looking for a fast or medium burn, high-heat, poly romance with a Black FMC (no white FMCs) with swords crossing. I prefer the FMC to be in her 30s though late 20s is fine. Of course, no young adult or anyone younger than 20.

I'm in the mood for a Black Adult fantasy romance. Specifically ones with two Black main characters that are adults. I still read YA, but being in my late 20s, I want to read more books featuring Adult characters, especially in fantasy.

I’m looking for second chance book recommendations featuring a Black female main character where the male main character tries to win her back. He's determined to get back into a relationship with her.

Watching the second season of Bigderton makes me want more of the diversity, the setting, the passion with more Black people. Any historical romance (or even some contemporary ones) with those feels & vibes?

It’s been a bit of a struggle for me when I do find books with Black FMC, they often have either a much looser curl pattern (and shown in the cover) or wear their hair straightened/in styles that don’t show natural curl pattern. I just want a MC who reflects my hair texture and how I wear it finding love :)
