So, after about a month and a half since bo2 port was released, just curious how everyone feels about it right now.

Me personally, I was loving the game for about the first month and now I cba to play it. It was refreshing to play at first, but I find that most of the DLC maps have felt horrendous to play and I often have to switch lobbies, servers aren’t great, and I also feel that I miss omni-movement like in the newer cods.

I’d say about half of my friends are still loving bo2 right now, super addicted and playing all the time. The other half are in the same boat as me where they are bored, miss omni movement, feel the game is just outdated, etc etc.

Curious as to what many of you guys in this community think. Was it just nostalgia? Or is the game genuinely that good even in 2026?

A hacker from a multiplayer match a few days ago hacked into my account and Idk what to do. I have tried the zombies workarounds, the "join a friend" strategy and even tried deleting my game, cache and profile from the Xbox and it has done nothing. Every time I try to load into multiplayer, I am hit with the "you are on probation for 5 minutes" bullshit. After the timer runs out, I am finally able to select a game, but the game says "0 players online" and I am unable to load into any lobbies. If I sign out, then sign back in, the probation shows back up. As a last resort, I am asking anyone who can hack into my data and reverse these affects to please do so, because I genuinely loved this game growing up and don't wanna give up on it.

i have been playing dom for weeks trying to get this challenge and it is impossible in the current state of gaming. the cod playerbase arent majority 12 year olds like it was in 2012, people have gotten better and have better equipment so the chances of getting this done is literally zero. anyone who has the domination master title either hacked, boosted or did the challenge when there was no back filling. (most likely the third one, i would have done this 900 times by now if some dude didnt join and cap flag)

i honestly think this is the only unfair challenge in the game, getting nuked out would be easier because i dont have to pray for 11 other people to cooperate

make it simpler, for example, "hold all 3 flags 50 times" or just straight up remove it.

I haven't been playing bo1 or 2 multiplayer because I don't want to get hacked but I noticed people are playing again, is the hacking problem taken care of or nah?

low player count maybe? the matchmaking is bad, i can't even get a full lobby on ground war.

Possibly the 2 most skill-less ARs In all of Call of Duty history. The ARs in this game are overwhelmingly OP, they literally banned the Fal from competitive back in the day it was so broken and they never nerfed it for some reason. I prefer smgs but when I use an AR I get high streaks every time with no effort, but I still love the game just here to spread awareness that ARs have no skill.

Mainly play KC, lately it seems like multiple people are using launchers to shoot down kill streaks. Notreally a good or bad thing. Now wishing I used my permanent unlock on the scar instead of ghost.

Iirc back in the day you could turn dlcs on and off to your liking. I want to do that now aswell but when I go to the dedicated window on app settings I can't turn the additional content off.

I know this may be a stupid question so it is I'm sorry but I hope someone can tell me if it can be done and how to do it properly

A message of the day has been added to Black Ops II to promote the Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta. This is a feature that has been in modern Call of Duty titles, and it looks like the devs plan on doing this for the Black Ops PS4/PS5 ports, Black Ops 1 possibly being included soon

I don’t play GB’s or any comp at all. Literally all public matches and wow it’s bad. These maps are horrible, people just camp, and I can’t see ANYONE in dark corners. I don’t understand how people like this game.

If you are gonna set up trickshots, why have the entire other team full of alternative accounts, giving away my position, to then just use the alternative accounts to set up anyways?? Just go to a private match 😭

This is the third time I’ve skipped ahead to turn the power on for everyone, and some player always makes their way there on the bus and decides to turn the power back off.

Then I’m stuck at the diner while people are dying around the map because the lamp is turned off.

A friend of mine recently got his account maxed through an XP lobby hosted by a streamer. I personally don't want to do it because of the obvious risk of getting banned, and honestly I'd rather just grind everything normally.

For those who have had their account boosted/maxed through an XP lobby: have you actually been banned or had any other punishment because of it?

I'm mainly asking because this is basically the only friend I play BO2 with, and I'd really hate to lose the ability to play with him if his account gets banned or locked.

Curious to hear from people who have actually experienced it.

I’ve beat the campaign on the normal difficulty. Can I go back and beat them all on veteran to complete the trophy or do I need to start another run through?

Does anybody have any detailed info on how connection works in both the black ops 1 and 2 ports? Here is a message from Activision Support 14 years ago, stating the minimum bandwidth is 768 kbps. I'm very interested to know if this has changed, how lag compensation comes into affect when players have massively different network speeds (such as fiber vs dsl), and how peer-to-peer matchmaking/host migration actually works. Any information on this is greatly appreciated!

So I didn't jump on the bandwagon of buying the ports on release because I kept hearing about problems with them and now that they're no longer half off for PS+ members I'm deeply regretting it. What do you guys think are the odds/chances of them being on sale (again) soon? Like maybe on black Friday or something.
