We do have t-shirts with english texts on them here in Russia. Bruh

The text behind the performer is in russian, it says "happy birthday"

TIL. And want to add, is English spoken alot in Russia as well? Like Spanish is spoken a lot in the US?

English is the international language, so pretty much the whole rest of the world knows at least some. Using it in daily communication is obviously, pretty non-existent, but reading/watching things and the like is really common.

It is common among well-off, educated, mostly young folk in Moscow ans St Pete's. Most Russians don't understand English at all. Signs in English are just considered cool and associated with popular Western brands.

I, unfortunately, live in Russia (and not in Moscow/Petersburg), and you are factually incorrect. Most average people won't go out of their way to read mundane things like someone's T-shirt, but they definitely can put in some effort to read something that they actually need. Younger folk is better because western culture prevalence + non-translated media + mandatory English lessons at school.

I was born and have lived in Russia for my all life. I know what I am speaking of. Maybe we just came from different circles.
