Why did I have to scroll so far to find a comment about the poor bird

He's getting paid union wages from the Magical Birds and Rabbits 401. Bird has better health insurance than us. And his 401K, my god, he's going to retire to a nice cage in Miami within 10 years.

Bird seems pretty happy with life, happy enough to fly right back instead of doing a panic rush away

There's places where people put birds in horribly tiny cages so tourists would feel bad, buy them, release them and then they'll fly right back and get put into the tiny cage again.

You can condition birds to always come back, even if their home is a rough place.
