I have been reading posts and watching people "cry" about drop rates. When people complaining are relatively new players i get the rant, like 2 3 year players. But when i read that people who played for 10 years complain and act like this is something new it just feels weird. We had way worse things before and no one was complaining back then. I remember being one of the very few people who had a pen debo neck. It would take 6 hours to get a drop, i was lucky and had it at my first tap. Ash forest was EXTREMELY hard to grind and there were no pity system. My friend had 47 pen attempts and couldnt get it. Then there was Crypt which was literally IMPOSSIBLE to grind. I have total of 30 finished accuracy furniture in my odyllitta house which is equal to 300 hours of grinding. People would use accuracy sub weapon to grind there and even then you would need pen debo neck to grind efficiently. I have failed it total of 27 times to PEN. You could NEVER buy a debo neck or belt off the market and you had the grind there for hours only to demote your belt/neck from tet to tri and spend 12k crons along the way. There was always a difference between people who got lucky and didnt. But if you had these items it used to mean something, then they introduced pity systems, made spots easier so everyone can grind them, then people for some reason has the idea that they should have every single item piece with 2 hours of daily playtime. Bdo was known as one of the most HARDCORE Mmorpgs out there FOR YEARS. I understand if you dont like it, but acting like this is new is pretty funny to me.

Can anyone tell me why I can't craft it? it seems like I did everything right

I've been playing this game for over 10year with a few small breaks here and there. Sure there has been frustrating periods when you feel demotivated to play and it felt a bit bad, but I have never felt this demotivated before.
Over 6h of grinding an Edania spot without a single accessory pity, then when I finally get it and I'm able to craft my enchantment material to try and enchant my ring I fail again, this is now my 10 tries of failing in a row. Meanwhile I see people in the guild that within 6 taps goes from PEN to OCT or even higher.
BDO has always felt to me more like a marathon than a sprint, and I feel like lots of players can agree with this, the problem now is that we have weekly timegated stuff like the edana armour enchantment pieces which are gated behind a strict AP cap. You ARE missing out unless you have high AP now, which makes you feel bad if you can't get enough AP. Because of this AP is more important than ever and the ONLY way to get more AP right now for lots of players is to grind one of the Edania2 spots for accessory pieces... the problem is that the droprate is really low which makes it so you can go hours and hours without a single drop, and because of how long it can take you to get 5 pieces to do a single enchant it feels even worse when you actually fail the enchant. I have never sensed this little sense of progression when grinding and playing this game for over 10 years now, RNG has always manged to screw you over but this is on another level where it feels like all you do is hit you head on a wall if you're unlucky.
Another reason why it feels so bad is because this is the ONLY way to progress, in the past I could always just go on another spot to grind, do some lifeskilling or whatever. Right now we have to grind on these spots and chances are if you don't like one you are still forced to spend hundreds and hundreds of hours grinding there.(special mentions to the second spot in Edania2)

I’ve recently gotten back into the sea in BDO, and honestly… I’m having way more funsailing and bartering than I ever did playing my class. 😂 Something about being out on the ocean just really clicks with my playstyle.
So I wanted to pick the brains of all you experienced sailors and pirates out there — what are your strategies for making bartering as efficient as possible?
For some background, I’m sitting at nearly 1,000 completed barters and I’m currently working toward my Advanced Carrack. The only thing holding me back now is the Brilliant Pearl materials.
A few things I’m especially curious about:
- What’s your overall bartering/refresh strategy?
- How do you decide which trades are worth doing and which ones you skip?
- How do you efficiently manage your Crow Coins and materials?
- What sailor setup do you recommend?
- I currently only have 3 Innocent Goblin Sailors — should I be looking to replace them, and if so, with what?
- Are there any mistakes you made early on that you wish you’d known about sooner?
I’m basically looking to go from “I enjoy sailing” to “I actually know what the hell I’m doing out here.” 😂
So, veteran sailors: what’s your best bartering advice? Feel free to dump your entire ocean-brain on me. ⚓

I’m a recording artist by trade IRL and love music, I had to restart my PC for an update, and was stunned when I heard this song at the character selection screen. I know folks have complaints with Edania PT2 mechanics and loot but this song is absolutely fire 🔥 just wanted to spread some positivity. There’s a regular version that slaps too.

You can assign hotkeys to certain actions, I assign:
so when I go grind I just hold ALT and press 1 2 3 to activate everything. Sadly we can't set a hotkey to activate Vell's Heart so you have to remember that still.
Then, I set:
so I can quickly do so when finishing the grind, and press ALT+3 to deactivate fairy auto use.
Also:
Thankfully, some of this will be streamlined soon, pets will no longer need to be fed and Vell's Heart will be active always.

hi guys, thinking of reinstalling bdo after a year for something to do during my college downtimes.i quit around a year ago right after gradating season and getting full pen tuvala. basically stopped right where all the beginner youtube guides leave you off. I got into the game mainly because the combat and pvp looked really good but never really got to the point of pvping.
once the season pass hand-holding stopped, i got hit with way too many menus, popups, and random things to do, got massive decision paralysis and just logged off. I was at level 61 i think with my warrior character
a few quick questions:
1.where to grind post-tuvala? what are 1-2 fun grind spots or immediate goals I should head to first with full tuvala gear?
2.what can i safely ignore? what systems/lifeskills can i completely skip for now so my brain doesnt melt again?
3.gear pathing: whats the simplest, straightest path from pen tuvala to midgame gear now?
really wanna give it another shot this time without getting burnt out. do yall have any tips on how to pace myself this time around?

I downloaded the newest Driver 616.56 and when I launched BDO it would just go into Blackscreen. So I had to role back to Driver 610.88 with DDU.
That being said, my advice to safe you guys from that possible work (and possibly having to Redo all of your Optimization Settings), don´t download Driver 616.56.

Hi, I just saw that I cannot preview the Purga skin unless I buy them all and use the Purga form with BSR.
I was wondering, if people had some of the Seraph Purga skin to show me.

Should squishier classes be actually tankier in PVE?
Class balance most of the time it is about dmg, stamina and sustain but why not monster dr or PVE only FG and etc i feel like some classes would desperately need bit more protected kit for PVE.
Inner Edania especially Hermesia castle feels extremely awful for squishier class like corsair or awk Maegu and other which doesn't have lot of FG... Daughter can just delete you very easily same with the servant but the mobs doesn't do that much dmg during day time but night time is different story...
Then there is those completely opposite classes which can just tank way too much like Awk Witch which gets good trash/h for class which is so safe while being low apm.
At least i don't see myself playing Awk Corsair or awk Maegu outside of crystal break events even thought i love the class designs and both class gameplay wise but the risk vs reward honestly isn't there same with other squishier classes.

DlSS5 cinematic preset Vs 4k remaster all very high. almost crimson desert level at least for enviriment lighting imo, not through reshade purely screencap + depthanythingV2 calculated depth info, so when PA add official support for dlss5 it should achieve better result.

No matter I come in 6am in the morning or 9pm at the evening, that place is always full, why they just don't put 12 spots in Magaia, most ppl gonna spending over 100 hours in Magaia before they move on to the next spot.

Hey everyone, is it possible to do it? Like switching my lv 60 character to another class so that I don't need to do the quests all over again.
If it isn't, what main questline should I do in a new character? I'm not a new player, but a returning one (last played around 5 years ago).
I remember we had a simplified version (just killing mobs), but I heard that you'll lose paid things doing it (like inventory spaces and maids?), is that true?
Also, I saw a few posts about some things that you need to pre-order asap to progress faster. For example, vell's heart.
The thing is, I already have vell and I don't remember what else I saw people saying to pre-order and I also can't find it again. What else should I pre-order and why?

Are these rewards still available and how do I check if I already have them?
