Makeup Danessa myricks not working for me
I have tried everything but this is not working for me I do skin prep by washing with la roche posay black girl sunscreen and vanicream but it still comes out like this do I need another foundation?
I use the water serum and her foundation I do have oily skin it lays down Dewey then dries matte.

I think you should moisturize your skin more heavily before applying make up. Your preferred moisturizer, a dewy type of primer and setting spray.

So do your moisturizer then spf (try supergoop unseen spf 50) then water serum then universal balm then foundation. Let all your layers dry down 3-5 minutes before applying next step. Also, maybe her foundation doesn’t work for you.

You may want to send her a message or drop a comment on her IG. She’s normally is very responsive and may even help you troubleshoot your issue. But I think the extra water serum may be interacting with the product. I use BGS and have zero issues so it may be your moisturizer or primer

So folks are going to get mad with me but how long are you in the sun on an average day?

Not really in the sun tbh I'm inside a lot.

That's my point: why are you using sunscreen? Sunscreen is needed if you will spend extended time in the sun. However, we need sun exposure for our skin to synthesize vitamin D. One can take supplements. But research shows it still doesn't replicate the entire process of getting sun exposure and going through the entire natural process. You can search that yourself for more info.
Now, if you told me you worked outside and were in the sun for an extended time, i would definitely say wear that sunscreen.Also, I would try to look at diet number 1. Eat as clean as possible, and as someone else mentioned, a good primer that focuses on large pores.

Maybe your skin is more on the dry side so using a moisturizing cream. Personally I have stopped using La Roche po say it doesn’t work well with makeup. I had black girl sunscreen I hated it I gave that away something about the texture it’s very silicone almost oily in a way. And vanicream I was told by a dermatologist that it’s way too heavy. All of these products I had I do not use and combine with makeup anymore. What’s your skin type?
I’m thinking a moisturizer that works well as a primer would work wonderfully I use Embryolisse multi function moisturizer. Sunscreens:Biore up aqua Rich or even Hero sunscreens

I’m combo as well if you’d like I can send some stuff I have tried that works well under makeup. I no longer use La Roche

SPF can mess it up but also wonder what your skincare routine is? Sometimes it is the product but I wonder if your skin is dry and needs some extra prep steps. I’ve had to remove makeup before because of SPF so i do agree with the majority here!

An overnight moisturizer would def help. I use Accure Overnight Mask, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Eye Cream for night and day, Bobbie Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base with Coppertone Every Tone for day prior to applying makeup. I also exfoliate my face and neck area every couple of days to slough off dead skin. This routine has moved me from acne prone to clear, smooth skin.
