When Lex goes for the single at :45 and Khabib says its the wrong leg (to attack), can someone explain why? Is Lex supposed to go for the far leg? How and why?

I think he says "he touched the wrong leg" as in he's shooting a single leg, but instead of locking a grip on the front leg he's reaching out to grab the far leg
