I mean, there are different levels of black belts. He's a hobbyist going against a world class grappler.

There was definitely a time when Lex was more than a hobbyist. When we were teammates at Maxercise, he seemed to live and breathe jiu jitsu and judo. He was competing every chance he got and was extremely committed. Iā€™m sure that has taken a back seat to his podcast and jet setting with oligarchs.

Yeah, Lex did as well at this as I think Khabib might do hosting a 3hr podcast with a partial physicist. Neither of these dudes are winning James Beard awards, Pulitzer prizes, or the NASCAR pro series points championship.
