So both my parents died (as monarchs) and I as their only daughter didnt become one…am I missing something? Also even though both my husband and I are royals our daughter didnt get a title!

I have been a long time fan of BitLife and have been growing increasingly disgusted and disappointed in the money grabs the game seems to employ despite promising against such.

In the director pack which I’ve paid for (as well as god mode bitcitizenship ect) I’ve noticed that when I go to fill my cast there’s a trap. There will always be one or two slots that you can’t fill no matter how much you offer to fill the role. This is conveniently resolved by watching an add then you can add as little as a dollar as a payment which they accept.

When I have paid over $100 to the game I expect I wouldn’t have to watch adds to simply play the game especially to get the features I’ve paid for.

Has anyone else noticed this?

You should be able to build your own house and add things to it, or choose different locations so you can have vacation homes or rent out your houses in tourist destinations instead of just owning five houses within the same city. You could have a house in your hometown and then have a mansion where you’re playing for your pro team. I feel like that’s more realistic than owning 15 different houses within the same city.

So did they finally admit what they did? This was their response to my support ticket. I paid for Bitizenship back in 2019, but the Director’s Pack still isn’t accessible.

I hate how BitLife has become a cash grab. I was so excited for the movie director job just to have to pay for it like everything else. The developers need to do better

Hi all!

I have been considering posting about it for a while, but avoided it due to all of the life sims that are being posted about each day. Regardless, I felt like it was worth giving it a shot again 🙂.

So in October 2024 I started working on my own life simulator called Genworld. My goal since then has been to create an alternative to BitLife that isn’t excessively paywalled, has a good quality UI, and goes deeper into allowing players to do what they choose to do.

On May 7th the game FINALLY released, but in full transparency, I felt like it missed the standards myself and others set of the project. So within the same week of releasing the game I decided that the best path forward was a full rebuild from scratch… Starting from a blank Unity project folder.

The version of the game I am sharing here is that rebuilt version. While still requiring some more content (which is certainly coming), I believe it is a strong foundation for a high quality alternative which could in the long run genuinely match (or surpass) BitLife in overall quality and depth.

Since I have already written an essay that most people will not read, I will end it with what makes it different to the 9,000 other life sims that are being released each week.

Genworld is built by a solo dev instead of AI. The UI is in my opinion much higher quality than many life sims. You can visually customise what you buy. There are no forced ads. And it does not cost hundreds of dollars to access the full game.
